  1. I didn't know 😞

honestly though, that thing is sooooo over priced it's pretty comical.  I tell you what though, that Amazon light I banging!!  It was this solid hay roll slowly turning last night, today, too big too turn.

CORNBRED ULTRA RAINFOREST CHAETO for sale.  $100/ bag

  2. Awww bummer.  Wish I had known I could have spent $1200 for 380 watts.  I only spent $85 for 110w.  You will scorch chaeto with much more than that.

Anywho.. the cheato has easily grown 4x as big since I turned it on last week!.  Looks like a ball of hay now.

  3. Big thanks to Trigg and Shaywood for the chaeto hook up.   Always appreciate hobbyists helping out other hobbyists.   Now I got a huge ball of rolling chaeto.  Will see what it does to nutrient levels.  May have to initiate project "MONSTER FUGE"

  4. If your looking to save money, certainly don't start looking at the 20" long filters.  They are substantially more expensive.   The most effective solution is separate DI resins and then finish with a mixed bed.  I bet a million dollars you will blow through the anion before the cation is even getting close to being needed to be replaced.

  5. Honestly, pick any led grow light on amazon and your good to go.

Turn it up till the chaeto starts getting white patches, then turn it down several notches.

    They are like $40.

Side bar.. if your nitrates are .40 why on earth are you lowering them? My nitrates currently between 20-30.

  6. nice work man!  I wouldn't worry about those bubbles.  As long as they don't go all the way through the seam you are fine, plus they are at the top of the tank.  I loathe truview acrylic tanks because they are SOOO thin they bow like crazy.  On the plus side though, this tank won't due that because the panels are so narrow.
