reefgeek84 Posted July 12, 2006 Share Posted July 12, 2006 I am not sure if it would be worth the trouble, but maybe there could be a forum that is soley dedicated to welcoming the newest members. Every time a new person joins we can have a thread created especailly for them, that way they will see there name in a thread when they are on the main forum page...might be a nice special welcome that no other site gives and also might encourage them to post more...Maybe I am crazy. Well I was thinking something soley dedicated to it, that way when they are on the main forum page it will stand out in black. I think we should generate it, kind of like a welcome letter when signing up of something of that sort. Chief Posted July 13, 2006 Share Posted July 13, 2006 We are going to try to find a hack that either alerts us of all the new members, or e-mails one of the BOD when someone new registers. That way we could have a "Welcome Wagon". Send them a PM and give them a tour of the forums. Ask them to post a thread about their tank. That way no one gets left behind. Everyone will be welcomed as a member of the website. It would also be useful to invite them to our regular meetings and tell them about the PNWMAS.
