Zwickm
I just got an Apex and got everything configured and firmware updated. The display screen is all white with the text barely being visible. I adjusted the brightness and contrast but it has almost no effect. Has anyone experienced this? Does it sound like a defective unit? Emerald525
Have you tried contacting Apex. They have really good customer service.

Zwickm
Done all of the above. Nothing really came up on the Apex support forum either. Figured i would double check here before having to deal with returning and getting a replacement.
TheClark
Sorry, never experienced that one. On a slightly related note... I am thinking about taking an inexpensive tablet and mounting it by the APEX as I find 90% of the time the web UI or fusion is allot better than the little display. Well, not sure that helps but wanted to mention it.
LadySaber
oh thats a total Firmware issue. I see it all the time when I do my testing on printers.. :P
Zwickm
I updated (or think I did) the firmware for the Apex and display module and it still does it.
Zwickm
I like the ipad mini idea, theclark. Can you run the Apex as normal via fusion without the display module?
Exodus
In most cases but not all. you can't calibrate probes without the display module, I'm sure there might be a few other things but seriously if you just bought this new you really need to return it and get your replacement, that display is expensive and no reason to pay for a defective product.
TheClark
Yes, you deserve a new display for sure if you just bought this new! Heck, do both! A small tablet, and get that puppy replaced I have done probe calibration through the WebUI (http to the apex, not fusion). Between fusion and the old web UI you can do most everything necessary. Good luck and hope it gets squared away.
