Blackice's 200g

Well it's funny I was thinking about doing a build thread of my tank the couple days right before it crashed so now on my new tank I guess I can start A build thread as I go this time.

In the process of plasty diping the sides and back of the tank

Got it that paint finished first time I have used plasti dip and so far I like it covers glass well only took 2 cans to cover to sides it took 4 cans of rust oleum last time.

My wife came home just after it was finished with the painting. She was with 4 of her Friends so I convince them to help me move the tank inside. It took some fast talking and some slightly misleading tank weights lol (rock2)

But all and all not to bad. I pick up the tank today at 2pm and it's filling with salt water at 8:30pm

Glad to see Marineland stand by their warranty. What are you doing with the other tank? Cut it down and make a rimless starfire cube?

That would be cool but I had to send it back to marineland all the water damage and pics where not enought to convince them it leaked so they wanted it.

Well it's up running with no leaks at all not even a little drip from the bulkheads. (clap) I got the rock in and there is a few crabs and snails that hitchhiked in on the rock. Sand tomorrow and possibly fish.

The rock work is not what it use to be, had to brake some of it to get it out so I will work on it more but hey it's running again I'm happy.

These new RW-40 pumps are a great upgrade much more broad flow patern and are not so big they blend in to the background much better.

I have one RW-20 and it's enough surge for the entire tank. If you can run it off the apex, that'd be sick.

By the looks of the box you have the RW-15. There is no such thing as a RW-40 to my knowledge. The RW-20 is about the size of an MP-60. At half to three quarter power I cannot keep sand on the bottom of half the tank!

I do have a wp-25 on the back just to help with one dead spot, but I may just end up taking it out because the one pump is plenty!

I have found if you have two and point them at each other it keep the sand in place better the more random it is the less the sands moves to a point.
