Didn’t get anything on Black Friday, but did manage to get to my LFS for Small Business Saturday. Was hoping to find a nice deal and participate in ReefBuilders LFSSaturday giveaway.
I ended up getting this acro, was labeled as a PurpleTip Cerealis but seems more like a Miyagi Tort to me. What ever it is it was a steal for only $16.

What kind of reef are you planning for the tank?

Double post.

Bummer - not an inexpensive specimen. I love all the wrasses but they do like to jump and seem to have an innate ability to find the smallest of openings in any lid/canopy.
Yeah. So I’ve learned the hard way. There was maybe a 1/4” gap between my lid and the tank and I thought for sure it would be fine.
Just picked up some materials to mak e a bigger screen top. I don’t want this happening again to any fish. Poor thing.

That’s an expensive fish for sure was it a diamond tail?
He was a Pintail Fairy Wrasse (Cirrhilabrus Lanceolatus).

Great looking tank. Bummer deal sorry hear about your wrasse taking the leap. Dustin
Thanks for he compliments and condolences.
He was the jewel of my tank and I miss him a bunch. It’ll be a while before I have money to replace such an expensive fish, or at least an expensive one to me.

Looks like a little baby bristle worm.
Great detritivores! Some of my favorite CUC.

What camera or phone are you using
IPhone 7+ with the original Aquariclip for the all blue shots and just the IPhone for the 12k.

As much as I’d love to participate in this growout I think I’ll have to be skipping this one unfortunately.
Good luck everyone!

I’m on board that it might need more par. The more par the more red with Red Planet. I’ve seen it in high par with no green and just all red.

I’m pretty sure I got this piece from @badxgillen back in May. It was just a white little stick with a hint of pink. Now it’s a chunky mess of pink and green.
Shot under all blues with an Aquariclip. No editing.

Really haven’t updated this in a while but the tank is still going along. Things look well now.
Back in summer the early heat caused some bleaching before I could get the ac up and running. Lots some things, mostly the sticks I got from the May meeting.
A Blue Stag and a chunk of Tierra De Fuego both survived and are starting to color back up and grow nice now.
If you gave them to me feel free to remind me. I’ve totally forgotten what I got from whom.

Looking really good! I've been using marinepure balls since the start and really like them. I like those brain shots in particular.
Yeah. One of the first things I learned about this hobby was the Nitrogen cycle, beneficial bacteria and how they need surface area to live. So I’m surprised it has taken me this long to consider using a biomedia like this. You would think it would be a no brainer.
Thanks! My Trachy is right upfront in my tank so it tends to be the easiest to shoot. I’m just lucky they happen to be so photogenic. When I first got it it didn’t look so good.
I really think the Primes are coloring my coral up nicely. Though as I get into more sps, or rather more sps get into my tank, I’m wanting to go hybrid and add some T5’s.

Today I got something new for the tank. I received my diffusers from 3DReefing.com for my AI Primes. Loving how much they help cut down on the static flashy shimmer and blend it into an even smooth shimmer. Plus they look really sleek.
Here’s a quick video showing the difference they make.
