    Watch out for air bubbles slowly accumulating in the top of the siphon and stopping it.

    To this point, consider installing an airline check valve in the top siphon portion and periodically just suck out the air that accumulates.

    AI sol/hydra 52, AI director, and Apex VDM FS/FT

    I have an AI sol that has the upgrade kit to the hydra 52 and the director to control it. I will sell them together for 320 or 60 for the director by itself. I would prefer not to sell just the light until after the director sells though.

     

    Apex VDM with cords for 40.

     

    Coral and other trades welcome. Mmao and please let me know if the price is too high.

    as there should be!!! I know that it's nice that you can buy the cheap knock off.... but the cost of RnD, testing, marketing and everything that goes into bringing a product to market..... that is all on the innovator! Then some other company side steps our patent laws and throws up the same product.... with none of the work to design it. I hope Jebao gets sued. and i hope they have to pay a large amount of money. That will at least give something back to the company that developed the product.

    Didn't ecotech go after them when they made the wp's?

    My system:

    75 gallon tank

    20l custom sump

    Bubble magus curve 7 skimmer

    2 ai hydra 52 for lighting

    2 rw 8 for flow

    2 part dosing

    All controlled via apex

    I dose red sea colors and reef energy nightly (ish)

    I feed targeted reef chili one a week

    Here's an update on the tank.

    You can see there's still a bit of algae growing on the rocks in places.  Also, my SPS are not holding their color like I'd like.  Pretty much all of them have less color than when I got them.  They still have good polyp extension and are encrusting and growing a bit so I'm not going to stress it yet.  I may up the lighting over the next couple of months, but I don't want to shock the rest of the tank.

    This Yellow Eye Tang has turned out to be quite the jerk.  He will even harass my magnificent foxface.  He still won't eat any of the food I put in the tank, even nori sheets or spirulina brine shrimp.  Luckily there's plenty of algae to go around at the moment. Overall I think it's going well.

    Pretty sure cuttlefish and corals has the best acan collection west of the Rockies

    I do love their collection. I can't get past the stick tank to look at the acans though. [emoji2] I'll be swinging by there this week at some point.

    Hi all. I'm new to the Pacific northwest I'd like to buy some corals and meet some of my fellow reefers. I'd like to buy zoas, acans, and a scoly. I'd prefer a bleeding apple scoly, and I am a fan of most acans. Some specific zoas I'm looking for:

     

    Darth Mauls

    Gold Mauls

    Utter chaos

    Bbeb's

    Rastas

    Sunny d's

    CAR's

    Fruit loops

    Red or blue hornets

    Fire and ice

     

    And really any interesting zoa/paly named or not that's not $100+ pp. Lmk what you have!

    I'm not very good at remembering to update this thread, but the tank is coming along well.  I have 3 fish right now.  I have a pair of Wyoming White clowns from Sustainable Aquatics and a Yellow Eye Kole Tang.  The Kole Tang is afraid of me for some reason.  He will graze like crazy when I'm watching from afar, but as soon as I walk up to the tank, he bolts in to his cave.  It's been doing this for a couple of weeks since I've gotten him.  Has anyone had a yellow eye act like that? 

    I also swung by Cuttlefish and Corals for the first batch of coral.  It was really great getting to meet Jeff, he definitely made a repeat customer out of me.  I picked up a couple of zoa frags, a Duncan frag and a green millepora with red polyps.  Everything seems to be happy so that's good. 

    I was really impressed with the Red Sea Mature Pro kit.  I have a lot of algae, but I have an insane number of pods all over my glass and my nitrates have dropped from 10+ppm down to undetectable all in the first month.

    I will be meeting up with Rolekii this weekend to get some more zoas and while I'm on that end of town I'll be making another trip to Cuttlefish to get a flasher wrasse and a Mandarin if they have any.
