So I was doing a water change had heater heating water then took off lid and set heater on it. Went over to tank started my syfin and drained 5 gallons and started to hear this sizzling and thought it was my cat but it was the bucket lid melting! The heater was bright red looked like stove burner. Quickly unplugged the heater and put the lid and heater out side! Oops! Could have burned the house down!

I'm looking to buy a doser my tank all drops a lot of all threw out the day and I don't think the swings are good for the tank! What do you guys recommend? What should I not get!? I don't want something that is going to nuke my tank and be more of a pain then it is worth! Thanks in advance:)
