Is there a way i can use this dosing calculator with BRS products?

With the first link it doesn't seem so.

Hmmm, well 1500 is def. plenty. Wish i knew how to help, just remembered Randy speaking of certain affects that can happen and just wanted to share.

I noticed that you didn't list your magnesium level, From the very little i understand, as far as i know if your Mg. levels are off/low this will make it extra hard maintaining a stable alk,ca level as the Mg. helps keep them in check and utilize each other.

This is kind of how i understood it, i maybe wrong, i hope someone will help me understand too if that's the case.

Found something else that sparked my interest and would like to learn more about, keep in mind, i can't quite wrap my head around this yet so i don't know if we are talking the same things.

I just wanted to say again a huge thanks once again to Rudy "and wait! His wife, she works just as hard!" and the whole of the PNWMAS community and board for  making these things happen. This was my first meeting so i just kinda sat back and watched how things work and WOW! there's a lot going on.

 Also wanted to share my Torch and see if others might want to share theirs as well. Very happy!

I'd love to see that black torch!?

I'm not sure how i got lucky once again but it appear i chose a torch that had 3 heads, (noticed when dipping and changing plugs) but i'm  def no pro at analyzing coral skeletons  Maybe it just looked that way with how they grow.

Anyone notice that purple torch?

I'm sorry all for any confusion, but yes this was a "LOT" sale

The price that i set was contingent of the size and was going to change/charge accordingly to size, most are in the $30 range that's why i started there. I do realize not very many of us can afford or house all this at once but it took years as we know to raise all of these and i decided i don't really want to let a few go here and there but make someones dream of a nice Clown nem tank a reality.

I actually spent little more than a year and a half searching for a cube to build my nem tank even had a custom overflow box made in preparation to start drilling the tank.

But sometimes life gets in the way.

I'm in no hurry, i really want to progress and more then likely i will but i'm just throwing out there to see if there is any interest in a lot buy of nems.

No, but for real i'll come up with real questions and try keeping them again.

Pretty sure not having a calcium reactor and having a drop of at least 1 dkh per day doesn't help me.

The problem that i may have with my truck i was told it might be the fuel pump or the fuel pump relay. I really need someone to tell me what is actually the issue so i can order the parts and try and get it back on the road, being that it doesn't run at the moment i cant get it to a shop very easy.

Pump worked great! Thanks again! You can buy calibration fluid that is set at 35ppt and there is a tiny screw on the top under a tiny rubber cap, that is how to calibrate it.

Drop 3 drops on, check it, if its not at 35ppt dial the screw until it is. winner winner chicken dinner!

I've also noticed that if you don't have a actually ph problem, thats a parameter not worth chasing if that makes sense. Again IMO

Hi Chad, do you have a petco or a petsmart in your area?

 If so, go in and pick yourself up a "api saltwater master test kit"

You can also pick up a alkalinity test kit there to get you by until you can place an order.

I would recommend either Salifert or Red sea. API will get you by but its not the best IMO.

These two are also very important.

As things progress you will need to keep tabs on your magnesium levels as magnesium helps keep calcium and alkalinity stable. This is actually something you should do from the start.

These test kits will certainly get you by until you can aqurie some of the higher end ones.

Also where we meet the other day, there is a great shop in Tualatin called Upscales fish & reptiles located right off martinazzi that has these higher end kits in stock.

What are you using to test salinity? bobber thingy?, swingarm? or a refractometer ?

I would definitely suggest a refractometer and keep it calibrated.
