Pick on micah. Lmao cmon really?! Where are the false statements? The email explains it all. He blew up, ran his mouth, said some things I'm sure he regrets now, but that doesn't take away what was said. This is not only MY personal opinion. Is one not allowed to make posts in a thread If they may hurt your feelings? Should I just hold my tongue now because one thing has already been said? Give it up. You brought this back attempting to defend him. So yes I made my point. Simple fact of matter. I kept quiet in this thread but my phone constantly blowing up with updates I felt i should speak my mind like everyone else has. Just because it's against your belief and others doesn't make it any less valid. I'm done with this nonsense now. You're 100 percent correct I made my point.

As wife of your VP I've done my best to stay out of this childish mess that has become the club but I feel I must throw in my two cents.

 

First of all, Micah hasn't changed. He was a smart a*s long before he was elected by this club to represent it as VP. Does he rub some people the wrong way? Sure. Do some people need to learn a sense of humor. Absolutely. I've watched the threads on this club go from entertaining, fun, informational and community based to boring over the last couple months. Certain people seem to have sucked the fun right out of it.

 

Speaking of community - a lot of these same people don't seem to show a good sense of it. Consider the last two meetings and who attended. There were no giveaways like that well attended one down south. So you had board members, their families, a few other well known active members and a few new folks. (Chris and Robyn are awesome people by the way.) Hmmm... so no chance of free stuff and low attendance. Coincidence - I think not. The chance to get to know YOUR COMMUNITY apparently isn't enough for some of you. Hoping the meeting at TPA this month proves me wrong.

 

Ok. Back to my husband and our weekend. Since getting admin privileges to HELP dig this site out of it's mess, I have barely seen him anywhere but in front of his computer. This needy pregnant wife gave her husband up for the good of this forum. Since Friday night I honestly don't think he's left the house. He's spent more time working on this than anything else this weekend, getting beat up for it and slandered by an ungrateful group of individuals yet he still plugs along. It was beautiful out this weekend. I would have loved to go on our weekly hikes. Didn't happen. He was even up passed 1 am last night / this morning (on a work night) so not to take the site down for maintenance during a time the community would be active.

 

Also, let's not be so quick to forget that my husband is constantly helping people out on this forum with apex stuff etc. He has given tons of stuff away to help people out as well. Crap... he even went to ChrisQ house to work on his tanks when he was in the hospital.

 

And did he jump ship so quickly? Heck no. He didn't purchase another site until 9 days after the forum was still down with the intent of giving the community a place to go in the event that PNWMAS didn't come back. This isn't 1992. Sites down this long is extremely unacceptable and unheard of these days. It really looked like it was gone for good. And he didn't do this with malicious intent or alone. If you've spent the hours reading through this juvenile crap you'll see others throwing their support for him and this site he was developing.

 

Once he was finally approached to help all talks of another site vanished. It was no longer necessary.

 

Sorry this is so long. Didn't intend it to be this way. I'm just pregnant, emotional and sick of the beating up of my husband who is the best man I know. A man who would do anything for this community.

 

Take my opinions for what they are - simply my opinions and a little insight being so close to this horrible, slandering, evil man (that last part is sarcasm for those that don't know.)

I have a point to make here. I've yet to of seen him "slandered" did he get called out, yes, did people speak their mind on how he rubs people the wrong way and Is allowed to basically run his mouth however he feels fit, yes, there are plenty of smart asses on this forum. Me being one of them, but does that give your husband the right to blatantly insult people or continuously run his mouth in threads? No. It's called people skills. There Is a time and place where being the funny guy is totally acceptable there is also a time where one Especially being VP, he needs to learn to hold his tongue persay. There are emails, threads (unfortunately lost in the hack) etc where he has pissed off many people. It is what it is at this point. But I've yet to have seen any slander. Points were made, facts were shown. The proof is in the pudding.

I have as much compassion as what's been given. The forum was totally different even just a year ago. I'm not looking for sympathy nor am I looking for others to run their smart assed mouths. I unlike a lot of people will say what I have said in the forum directly to their face. This place has been on a steady downward spiral for months.

Pled you're an awesome guy and I fully respect you and your decisions and I hope they pan out for the best for you

Micah you're skilled in your trade but you are far from skilled with people. You clearly have zero faith or respect for the forum from the looks of the email.

Noob, matty, matt, mattv, kim, brad, we'll pretty much the majority of the people that have been around for 3 to 4 years. You guys are great and I am thankful for the help you have given!

Meh if ish keeps going in the direction I'm out. We have a VP that feels he some sort of a God to this forum, is allowed to **** talk in threads and have ZERO repercussions for it, then I call him out and I get a threat of being banned out of the simple fact I called it douche baggery. He then jumps ship in near no time. Insults other in abilities. Not everyone was an IT professional. Have some compassion for the others you so quickly cut down. You're no more special to the site than they were. That being said. I'm out!

Fair enough. Thank you for the upfront answer! I still have my own feelings toward him but as for this thread goes. I'll keep them in my own mind. Thank you for getting the site back up and I will sit back and quietly watch it all unfold.

OK so can we have a direct yes or no answer of the trash talking of the forum directly from the vp? I've personally dealt with his snide comments in my threads and seen them in others as well. If he was directly down talking the site while in Control of building another, that is where my skepticism lies. I'm glad he got the site back up I will give credit where credit is due, but I'd rather not have someone with that much power in the vp spot who will so quickly trash the forums, build another, and start recruiting certain people.

I am going to be the one that speaks the opinions and Concerns because I'm sure other have the same questions but don't have the heart or might be too afraid to hurt someone's feelings.

I totally agree with you mattv on the OR and cuttlefish. They are birth great people and I would never suspect them to do anything malicious. I hope that's not how my post came out.

This is out of bounds! It's what this section was made for. For people like myself that have been around for years would like some answers and appreciate the thread being out here. So in the end we all can get the answers we want and the information we need for our future elections etc

The moving of admins is one thing, the trash talking of the forum, and opening a new site while still maintaining the vp position here is another. Dtech made a thread stating how it was handled and it seems a little shady. Not that I need to explain myself but that's where is stand on it. I respect 99 percent of the people on this forum and I don't want to see it plummet nor do I intend to burn any bridges or cause issues, but to let this be swept up under the rug is not an option

To take Control of one site, it's all of a sudden goes down, then you build another site and trash talk the site your currently a vp of is a bad move imo. If you don't have loyalty or even the sense to hold your tongue against the forum you're vp of, then why be a part of the administrative group? Just take your *** over to your new site and pound sand. That's my two cents. On that note

I'd say that was an engage in to the thread I could care less if there is a other site the fact of the matter is it was BS how things were handled. Micha all of a sudden has full rein, changes passwords etc and starts his own site. Just days after pnwmas went down? I don't hold anything against guys jumping ship to a new site, you want to go, go, but don't sit and play both ends of the field.

Seems like being a part of the admin team and not being involved in decisions is reason enough to be upset to me. If lines were crossed and people were thrown out of the loop and I was one of them I would be upset as well. Also it seems like this whole Micah thing is getting out of control. He makes blatant disrespectful posts in numerous threads, seems of over stepping boundaries in the admin side of the site and I'm assuming these "side comments" were typical of his comments in threads on posts on the pnwmas forum. (Total speculation but I'm fairly confident I'm on the right track)

I just hope this doesn't continue to be a problem. I'm sorry that your had to deal with this Dtech and I hope you stick around!
