O and if you want the monti plates would be glad to get more room for sticks lol

Yes, I want that Angel (whole frag :-) )....Gorgeous beauty!

  2. Yes, I am thingking more inline as Bob Moore Show. Not as in scale off but more like having a table for vendors / individuals to sell or trade frags.

We can start small here with 4 major local vendors plus individuals that would like to open up a booth for a day or two days event.

Each seller will have a 4x8 table.

We can invite reefers from Pacific NW to come.

We need to start somewhere as a local event and eventually it will get better every year. It doesn't have to start as a grand scale show.

I was at the early MACNA show in KY and at that time only about 6 livestock / dry goods vendors cramped in 10'X10' room.

It is more like an experience for us all and if we have this going regularly than we can take on a show like MACNA here someday.

Our area has Koi Show and Reptile Show as regular yearly event, not sure it these shows still going till now.

It is time for us reefers to have a yearly local show.

KOI show is still going yearly in Sept in Beaverton's Uwajimaya lot ( used to by side of the zoo ).

  3. When it rains it pours.....go to set up skimmer and the power supply is dead on the new Orphek Helix 3000. Company send new pump, powesupply and controller (DC) so I guess I'll have a spare skimmer pump on hand

Also ordered a second Jebao DC pump and will run each side on its own so if one fails I will still have circulation

You need skimmer pump and main pump and reactor pump spares.....:-)

  4. Tom what is this piece? Hope you have some stuff saved up for me!!!!

I collected killer frags, too bad, I killed them better than i grew them but I could save a frag of that rainbow for ya.  Hurry before all my things got killed with my skills...ha..ha

  5. BRS filter replacements kept get clogged every month to the point I say it's a POS....crap POOPOO.

Looking for upgrading to bigger filter.  Like to see pic of your RO ( or RODI or DI ) setup for your aquarium (SPS) and tip where to get it.  The bigger and faster flow, the better.

  6. I'm making a bulk buy from our sponsor, Reef Cleaners, for dwarf cerith snails.  The description:  "Eats Diatoms, Algae, Cyano and Detritus on your tank's substrate and on rocks. Very hardy under normal water conditions. Grows to almost 1''."

I'm ordering 500 for $65, but only need about half that.  Anyone want in?

I will take 250 of snail from you

  7. Looking good! Keeping that piping under the house uninsulated will help keep the heat down too.

Yup, forgot about it.  My was 72ish  temp but as soon we wrapped it up with insulation layers, it's 78 ( 4-6 temp differences temp in saving with LEDs so helping with Winter's heater and cooling in Summer ).

  8. what kind of algea?  Normally lack of flow or water is not cleaned.  For green hair algea, tang or chevron tang ( more friendly).  For red algea, I like conch and tongan, and bunch of trochus.

I used to have a puffer and just got another but it stays with other predators that no snails or even big crab, algea, apatasia or any kind of softies can't survive :-).

  9. DC pump is still piece of junk to my opinion.   Too sensitive and unreliable.  I ended up go back old school power horse ASM G4xx.
