  1. Yes it fits like a glove... just what i wanted!

It was hard getting the pump, insump skimmer, and float valve in place. But its working great. Power was out the other day and the sump was just tall enough to hold all the water without having to drill a whole in the return.

Thanks again Wanareef. This sump is much nicer than any store bought one. It looks like you spent alot of time making sure the edges where perfect and i really appreciate it.

  2. Well Im getting T5 36" lighting with themoonlight leds so I think coral wise I will be limited to softies I think?

I have this light (just replaced with MH though) and i grew everything. the hard type of corals (SPS) didn't grow super fast compared to my new lights, but they still grew and did just fine. Also my anonmes never needed hand feed and they more than tripped in size the first year i had them.

I actually plan on using it again in a future garage frag tank.

    p.s. 36" fixture uses 39W bulbs x 4.

  3. Going on four hours here.! Still no idea on when power is coming on. Power companies phone line has been busy can't get through :(

I may need to pickup some battery backups in the near future for this kind of thing (even though its rare).

  4. I love my hammer. It goes super fast and i love the look of it. Just don't put it close to anything. I have seen it stretch out a few tentacles around 4" before so they need the room. They sting the crap out of me... i have to be really careful when moving mine.

  5. Ive always use the common sense that if they are known to sting, they can kill others.

As for a guide, best thing to do is research each coral you have and find out if they sting, release toxins, friendly/not friend, etc.

Not sure if there is a single guide that will tell you everything your looking for.

  6. Power is out at my place also. I was about 30min away at the LFS and mother-in-law gave us a call to check on us... thats when i found out power was out and raced back to get home!

I just hooked up a cheap but quick light in my sump. The second i heard about power out i knew that thing was not high enough in the sump and was probably below the water. Luckly i got home in time to disconnect it. On the up side, i have not tested to see if my sump can handle the extra water. it stopped about 1-2" from the top. Perfect!

  7. best auto feeder is a neighbor :)

Ive heard many bad stories when people leaving for vacations. Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

But, i dont know of any brands for auto feeders. Cant help there sorry.
