Never tried it but I would assume door screen would restrict to much flow and cause more problems than its worth.

i run a Local Hobby Shop (LHS for short). So i do get to play with RC very often. Just built a new truck yesterday. Cant wait to race it tomorrow.

I think the Max is 10amps. I'm running more than that.

 

humm i probably should gather up everything i have and figure out how many amps its pulling.

 

off topic: i race rc cars nearly everyday at work and they can draw over 100amps in a single second lol.

Mine is attached to a really big rock with zoas. That was like a year ago. Killed off probably 20 frag size spots on it :(

Im still thinking about getting one of these systems just not sure if i really need one.

 

Any chance they can be setup to detect a power out if running on a ups? Would be nice to setup to shutoff everything except one or two things incase of power outs.

I couldnt find much but does this system allow a calcium probe?

How are you liking the kent salt?

Gotta agree! Small tanks are fun. I love my little 10g nano in my kitchen. I started doing a planted tank and its fun landscaping it and keeping it super clean yet basic.

Sand takes a few days to settle... the finer it is the longer it takes.

 

Since your new, just a remember you can not add any livestock for around a month.

I don't think a refug is going to work in that 10gal. refugiums need very little flow. unless you run a very slow pump or have it gravity fed.

 

I used to have a 10gal setup as a sump/refug but it was 3 chambers. It worked great on my 46g.

I hope it comes back for you... last time i hard a coral look like that it ended up in my sump as rock rubble.

How big is the sump?
