  1. Updates? And all the pics are gone! Did I miss something? EDIT: Hahaha, it's Photobucket. D'oh!
  2. Sending PM, since you haven't replied here...
  3. I bet a 30 watt 20k would look pretty stellar over a hex. heh heh heh... Can't wait to see how your tests turn out!
  4. Based on that video, I'd say a 50watt one of these may be way too much. WOW.
  5. Interesting. So of the 12k, I bet one might be enough to go over a tall hex, like a 27... Softies on the bottom with whatever I want up top, huh?
  6. So being the completely clueless person I am, How many of these would I need over a 27 gallon hex? I know the hexes are deep, but I don't know how the penetration of this would be...
  7. Hey! So you have more goodies... I wouldn't mind a few more from you? Would you ship again? It can be a smaller box and more tiems in each bag... It's just zoas, and maybe that trumpet I want...
  8. Man, I really want yumas! Too bad Im in tri cities... :(
  9. Does it have a bulb in it, and if it does, what is it/how old? Thanks!
  10. I'm interested in the skimmer. Can you tell me what the bare minimum it needs width wise in the tank to sit on the back? The specs say it is 7.5" wide, but I'm guessing it can sit in about 6.5" of open space, as long as behind the tank is ok? I hope this makes sense!
  11. Just wanted to let everyone know that dealing with Xrayguy is an absolute pleasure! Not only did he pack the items perfectly and ship them to me, but he threw in a bunch of extras, too! I will DEFINITELY be doing more business with him in the future, and you all should, too! Just leave some for me! Thanks again, and I'll be posting some pics up shortly! (rock2)(rock2)(rock2)
  12. I'm a very wet skimmer. Probably because if I don't, my cheapy skimmer pulls nothing out. It's a piece, but the wetter it goes, the better it does. I only have a 10 gallon, and I don't mind topping off the cup of water it skims off per day, and I hardly feed, so that's probably why it's more like a tea than anything else. And I, too, agree that if it's darker than tank water, it's still a success! Also, I was worried about the Calcium in the wet, so I started dosing more after testing that theory out. With no skimming/very dry skimming, I kept my Ca levels up a lot higher. Now since I go the moist route, I have to dose a lot more. A LOT more, in comparison.
  13. AND, I've been hurting bad for some red people eaters and a purple death paly, IF you happen to have them...
  14. If you don't mind shipping, I'd take a few items? I'm in Kennewick, and Fedex Ground is actually over night I believe? If so, I'd like a $7 poker star, the purple/teal zoas ($10), Hawaiians ($15), Magicians($5, and if you can add more, I'd happily pay!!!), and if you are open to it, there's some red or pink zoas next to the bright greens that I'd love about 5 polyps of? Please let me know! Thanks!
  15. I love seeing these kinds of threads... Bravo! It really makes me appreciate the folks in this hobby. Again, bravo. I <3 this forum and it's members.
  16. I'd be happy to pay the shipping and take it off your hands? I know TFT is a great cause, but I have a great use for it! Please let me know!
  17. No problem! I'll let you know Tuesday when the new light comes in, and we can go from there!
  18. Selling the T5HO Current USA Nova Extreme fixture I have, 2x18w. It's less than 3 months old, and has one actinic and one 10000k bulb in it. Great shape! Nothing wrong! I can also send you the little mount/hood it is in, set up for a 10 gallon. It fits right over the tank perfectly (made of wood, painted... Very simple, very functional!). $55 shipped to you. Thanks all! *Cell phone pic, sorry everyone!*
  19. The only thing against the HQI is that that's all it is, the bulb... I need some actinic in there, too. On a side note, did you run over a beaver on 12/4/10?
  20. Love how I'm flopping back and forth? LOL! I didn't realize that the 24watt bulbs were so easy to find... There's tons of them out there in every spectrum imaginable!
  21. OK, so based on the cost and availability of bulbs (about $35 per change), I think I'm going to go with a 4x24w T5HO setup... Should meet me right in the middle of where I want to be.
  22. I have some great little blue leds that work nicely, too. I think CF lights. Bulbs are cheap, last a long while, and I know they work! LOL!
