  2. I'm really paranoid about my main tank now. All the zoas from in the 10g came from my main tank at one time. Except one that was only in there a day or two before going in the 10. But, all of them in my main look good. I'll watch it closely.

I just gave them a fw dip and put them back in the tank in a Tupperware container for easier monitoring.

  3. I just found one in my 10g tank. my zoas in that tank haven't been doing too well and I could not figure out why. Everything seemed fine water-wise and the tank has been set up for a few months with very few problems-- so I was getting a little frustrated. Today I was cleaning off my rocks with a turkey baster and BAM! I see one and out it goes. I'm wondering, what are the chances of there being more? If there are, I want them gone!

  4. a few more recent pictures.

hasn't changed to much sense the group buy but I think the color has gotten a little bluer.

  5. The mimic octopus is doing awesome. It gets a steady diet of red leg hermits and has become quite tame. They only go into mimic mode when they feel threatened. Which it never does in my care. It has a very cool zebra striping that it exhibits all the time. There are around 15 different species of octopus that fall into the mimic category. I can't say how some of the others do in captivity, however I can assure you that with the appropriate care this particular octopus will do well and make an awesome pet.

I would not sell an octopus of any variety without first screening the customer to make sure they have the right set up to house it and they are ready for the responsibility. I talk most people out of octo-adoption. The mimic octopus is very rare in the hobby and quite special. It will likely remain in my care rather than being sold. That way many people can see it and enjoy it here.

Isaac I have never checked out TCM or communicated with you at all but, after reading this it makes me want to check it out and gives me a lot of respect for your work ethic. I've considered getting an octo a few times. I have a friend in Eugene that has kept a couple over the years including a blue ringed octo (which kinda scares me and I'd never try lol). I don't think I have the ability to care for one at the moment but I'm happy to hear that you will be screening your customers for this.
