I am working on a few projects and one is my water station. I have a white 165 gallon barrel and a blue 55 gallon barrel. The 165 will be used for R/O water and the 55 gallon for mixing salt. will post pis in a week or so when I am finished.

What type of tank is it? AGA uses tempered glass on the bottoms but the sides can be drilled.

Yeah I have read that site alot just wondering if anyone locally has used acrylic in their own sumps with a glass tank.

I have a 55 gallon aga tank and wanted to make my baffles and such but wanted to go with acrylic panels. I have read that you should use glass for glass tanks and acrylic for acrylic tanks. Has anyone used acrylic in a glass tank and how did it hold up do you have pictures? Any help would be greatly welcomed.

I was actually gonna use it for my baffles on my sump. Glass tank with acrylic panels. Gonna hit tap plastic on tuesday and see if I can find enough in the scrap bin.

That's just scary. Glad it turned out ok. I had something similier happen with a window A/C cord melted the whole cord and the outlet. Lucky I caught it in time.

Yeah I totally missed the exp date when I first looked at it. It was bad 4 years ago lol. (flame)

Hey was cleaning my garage and found a full tube of Ge silicon anyone ever used this kind for tanks?

Nice my sons love taking trips to fish stores in the area. They are the ones that wanted to start a 125 in the living room. (laugh) Although I have done FW for years and both boys have tanks in their rooms I have never done a SW tank I figured with thier interest we would work on it together just have to save some money up lol.....

Are there alot of scratches in the acrylic? Do you have any current pics that show where the cabinets need work?

I am intrigued but really wanna see some pictures. Spokane is a long drive.

I have a 140 gallon and would trade for SW related items. It's painted blue but can easily be scraped off and the top trim has some scratches. no leaks and glass is good.

I think my shipping was like $15. But all I got was new ro filters a new ro membrane some new tubing and a add on DI add on. Oh and some other odds and ends.

actually I think that 30 was the worst. After that ehh it's just another year. hahaha

I just turned 33 today where has time gone? Seems the older I get the faster time slips away. I guess that's what happens when you become older and work sleep work sleep repeat. LOL
