  1. I'm entertaining the idea of a closed loop w/an OM 4 way. My other half is scared of drilling the bottom (she's scared of a lot of things!) so I thought I could drill the back down low and run pipe to the front of the tank under the sand.

    Feedback please!!!

  2. Center overflow with internal section plumbed for return. 4 return pipes with line lock " T " diverters to direct 8 different nozzles. Would look clean' date=' it would all come from the bottom and you could centerpiece it ( walk around style ) with the sump/pump etc in the stand[/quote']

I like the idea...but hesitate to chew up that much real estate!!

  3. I'm gonna set up a 36x36x25 cube tank. What would be the optimum set-up for the plumbing if I detested powerheads?

Right now in my 90 gallon 48x18x25 I have the end drilled for 2 overflows and 2 inlets...powered by a Dart...plenty of flow...even throttled down....but I'm not sure it's the optimum flow.

How would you do it???????????? Lay it on me!!!

  4. I think I know someone who has one of those special medical cards so I can get some "hemp" from them, I never been able to justify or find an excuse for being a hemp user.

Thanks Snowpunk, I guess its time to go green

    (whistle)(nutty);)

  5. What LFS show tank is your favorite?

Just curious as to what everyone's opinions are on the forum...

I have not been to all of the shops in Portland, just a few, but as for my favorite(s) would be the cube tank at Upscales. That tank was one of the first fully grown out SPS tanks I have seen, and its colors and depth constantly leave me standing at the tank staring until the wife says we have to leave.

    So, what are everyone's favorites??

Married 2 months and already blaming her!!!(rock2)

Grim is a know it all, and is wrong many times. I can counter many of his "claims" with proof from little tiny no knowledge companies like GE. Then again Im sure someone without any real lighting experience other than playing around in his basement with some light fixtures and a PAR meter knows more than the engineers at GE. *insert sarcasm here*

Im sure the folks at Fulham dont know anything either....

So I guess folks like you should educate us BEFORE we take some mis-information as the gospel.

Actually Joel.....reading Grim's posts sold me on T-5 versus MH.....I even purchased the fixture from you.....I'm happy and everything is growing like a weed......looks like a win-win to me!
