No worries, these things happen. To be perfectly honest, I would be willing to pitch in for a new colony. I think we all are very aware that corals can be unpredictable and things die for (seemingly) no reason, and it's a risk we all took. I have no ill will toward this grow out, because you are keeping everyone up to date on what's happening (unlike the other GOC that prompted you to start this one LOL). Thanks so much for doing all of this!

~Never put water from a LFS or any other tank into your tank. ~Add 1 drop of Kent Iodine per 25 gallons of water weekly to help inverts molt easier. Soft corals appreciate this also.

I really like this forum, and would like to know why you visit this site. I'd like us to write down all of the reasons why PNWMAS.org makes reefing a bit better for you. Positive things only!! I'll start with a few of mine: I really like this forum over others because I like that I'm talking to locals, and can often put a face to a screenname. I like that I can meet to buy, sell or trade livestock or equipment. I like that when people are in a pinch others volunteer to help out. I like that we have local sponsors that offer discounts. Oh yeah - GROUP BUYS! (clap) List one, or list them all! Why do you think pnwmas out ranks the other forums out there?

I get very discouraged whenever something dies. I think I just take it very personally. Like yumas, for example. I LOVE them, but they don't always love me. Or, when things die for no apparent reason. Sometimes a zoa that I've had for a very long time just closes and never opens. To me, it's like a puzzle to figure out, and when I cannot reach a satisfactory conclusion it drive me nuts!

Ok, I emailed them w/ our order totals. Here is the response I rec'd: Thank you for the order. I just sent you a Paypal invoice. We have recently had an unusually large volume of orders and our Rock-Mag stock is low. Once payment is received I will be able to ship yourorder on Tuesday, February 22nd. Thanks again for your business. I paid the paypal invoice. Bummer it won't be shipped for a week, but it's in motion now. I'll keep everyone updated if I hear more.

I don't understand why as a paying members we are told by stores that no, we can't pool our money and buy something to share. I have no idea what went on, what was said or why. I do know that as a consumer I don't need a retailer's permission to purchase what I want. I'm sorry to clutter this thread, and I know not what I speak since, again, I have no idea what went on, but I find that hard to accept that the rest of the group slowly backs off and says nevermind??? Am very interested in why the last group buy was cancelled and why the stores dictate where/if the money is spent?

I think maybe a few of us added onto this thread when we should have started a new one. My vote for acans/favias was just that, voting for a local group buy. I'm all for group buys w/ the LFS! As long as competing LFS' can play nice and not rain on the parade. (laugh)

I have a nice big chunk of galaxia that I would like to trade, it's just been sitting in my sump. It pretty much covers a frag plug. I'll post pics tonight but wanted to get this going. I'm interested in zoas or LPS, mainly acans or favias.
