  1. Looking for CA, Mg, No3 and Ph4. Thanks, cash is ready....
  2. Went to Hillsboro Homedepot, they do carry that. I think the link I attached above is not correct. the Ro/Di hose has a smaller diameter than 1/4 inch. It should be 3/8 inch.
  3. Which local store carry the Tub / Garden Hose Adaptor 1/4" Push Connect for RO/DI filter? http://bulkreef.automaticstaging.com/store/products/reverse-osmosis-filters-and-systems/ro-plumbing-fittings/reverse-osmosis-valves-and-adaptors/laundry-tub-garden-hose-adaptor-1-4-push-connect-murlok.html the another question is: can I use the waste water from Ro/Di for a fresh water tank? Koi/goden fish?
  4. holiday season is coming, no one is planning to spend some money for your tank?
  5. which prime do you use for portrait?
  6. finally, settled down in portland, and going to cycle the tank within two weeks. Since I need to get the LR again, I am thinking to cook the rock and get rid of the PO4 before I put the corals in. It is the lessen learned from the previous tank. The aglae was everywhere even the LR was claimed fully cured from the fish store. It took me more than 6 month to export the PO4 from the rock. Question: Is there a way to cook the rock and cycle the tank in the same time? Is the better way to buy the rock from the local reefer?
  7. admire.....can you take me with you when you shoot the portraits next time? Are you a wedding photographer? 50mm 1.4 fits 5D but it is too short or just I tired with this length. I am trading my 50mm 1.4 for a 85 1.8 and thinking to buy a 85 1.2L which is the most creamy lens I ever seen. Thanks for the lens renting information, I definitely will rent one to try out. I have heard so many good review on 24-70, probably just buy one. It holds the value very well. can you share your online album?
  8. Dude, it is awesome, which software you use to do HDR? I played once but it totally "changed" my picture, I didin't keep it. Maybe I need more practice. I put my tripod in the storage room by a mistake when we moved here. I can not take the night shot like you did now:(
  9. Pledosophy, It is exactly what I am after. I got so many time wish I could open my aperture a little more on my 24-105 under a dark lighting. 24-85 is a nice lens tho. I have a 50mm 1.4 which is a wonderful portrait lens. I am going to trade it for 85/1.8 to fit my 5D. I did the research on the comparision between 24-70 and 24-105, there is no conclusion on which one is better. It all about which one you like. I just want to try out which one is my lens. I hope someone has a 24-70 and willing to swap to try my 24-105. That will be fun. ARe you a pro?
  10. lol, I would say "serious hobby" I did join some photography club and take the shot with pro sometime. but I am not that good. I will keep this as a hobby because I dont think I can feed myself by using the camera.
  11. Cwinson85, do you have two 24-105? you said "either of them"....
  12. Pledosophy, i am going to try 24-70 and decide which one to keep. I am planing to have 24-70 and 70-200 to replace 24-105. Hopefully, I can find some good and used lens with lower prices.
  13. cwinson, 35-105 is the same as my 24-105 F4, so I will pass your lens:)
  14. looking for 24-70 F2.8 L 70-200 F2.8 L IS maybe 85L, 135L
  15. Please post the pictures, I may take them all as the system
  16. Steelhead, thanks for asking. He has a real solid tripod. My tripod is still in the storage room. I can not make any night shots. BTW, this is my wife's ID, I couldn't get the confirmation email when I registered here.
  17. Steelhead, could you please ask you buddy for the places where he took the pictures? They are very stunning. It looks like not so many photographers gave a shot in downtown. cwinson85, do you want to give it a try as well? I have peeked a couple places already.
  18. Thanks for the suggestion, I hope the rain will stop some day before all the leaves falling off. I would like to try the gardens first then head to the gorge. Anyone tried the downtown churches and small parks? They look very nice. Reef165, I have seen those picture as well. Those picture can be taken any time of a year because it is dark, lol.
  19. I am new to portland, just moved up here three weeks ago. Portland is so pretty in Fall. The mountain and forest are colorful. Does anyone know where is the good place to take the picture? I have found a couple place where is good for portrait shots but not for landscape pictures.
  20. subscribed....need to setup a similar RO/DI system soon
  21. Mike (madmike) will help me on holding my corals before i setup the tank again. Sure, this Acan will be fragged and shared with John and whoever likes it. hmm....start to think what I can do differently to my 34G solana this time.
  22. .....ice or heat pack.....if I dropped the box to the fedex station afternoon, it should be delivered by the second day noon time. does heat pack make more sense in my case? I assume the night is still cold in Oregon.
  23. I am collecting the supplies to ship my corals up to Porland. Do I need put a heat pack in the box? I am afraid to cook the corals in the box.
  24. I am using the JBJ ATO, not bad if you want a good looking for a good looking control box...besides that, it is the same as the product from autotopoff.com. If I need to buy the second one, i will go with autotopoff.com.
  25. what is the "receiving" station at Saltwater Fanta-seas? Is it a fish store, very good name:)
