Ya, my photography skills are what you might call subpar but I am working on some macros of the zoos and such.

I am looking for some macro to add to my fuge. I have some Chaeto and I am trying to stay away from the calurpa but I thought maybe some sea lettuce or some other low maintanence macros.

You know. I think you know what to do. You sound like a pretty intelligent squared away person. You would be surprised how many people wouldn't have even put a second thought into letting turd brother-in-law around their kids. Unfortunatly I see this a lot. I applaud you not being an enabler to this scrote bag and realizing that going down and stomping a mudhole in him (even though its probably well deserved) isn't appropriate. I say if you wanna keep peace, not necessarily with him, but with the other family members, you let them hold the child when sister and bro in law arent around and when they come around just make up some excuse why you have to hold your child ie. the child is tired, hungry, sick, fussy ect right now. That way you get to share your little bundle of joy with the ones you want and you don't start any Jerry Springer style family brawls.

Well first off I think the family being upset is second to your childs safety and your peice of mind, they will get over it. Secondly, I would guess that he is on some kind of probation/parole, or required to register if he is a sex offender ( I only assume that is the crime your referring to) so it would be a violation of these for him to be around children in most cases. I think you are on the right track I think I would just tell the family that you don't approve of his past criminal behavior and you aren't going to allow him to handle your child, or just let him hold the child and hover right around him, watching his every move. That would probably make him uncomfortable enoughg that he wouldn't want to hold the child for long. Just my humble opinion.

They are pretty easy to clean especially compared to the Magnum 350's I used to have. If I were gonna run a canister again that sounds like a pretty good setup your talking about.

I had a Fluval 305, with the multiple spots for media so I was running a water polishing pad, Biomax (basically ceramic bio media) and carbon. It was nice to have my water clear up so quick after a wc but overall I am glad its gone.

Definately a stand up guy. He gave me a great deal on a T5 fixture I probably wouldn't have been able to afford any other way. He also gave me some free Zoos for making the drive.

I definately agree. I spend a good deal of my free time there. It is a great place, great stock and great prices.

a couple of peppermint shrimp should't mess up your bioload. They will eat whatever you normally feed your fish.

Ya, I think I will hold off at this point. I seem to have gotten it under control the old fashion way with a couple of water changes and by removing that canister filter (Nitrate farm).

Thanks for the summary. I got to about page 5 and started getting bored. (laugh) Same arguments back and forth. I think I will let my tank settle, after removing the canister filter and maybe give this a try.

I am just looking to upgrade from the PC lighting I currently have, I am interested in a 6 or 8 x54 watt T5 fixture or something comparable. I don't have a ton of cash to spend but I thought maybe someone had something sitting in the garage they wanted to get rid of at an affordable price.
