  1. It depends on the circumstances of your tank jonas. If your tank is stable and nitrate seems a little too high do a 20% water change. If all elements are totally out of parameters then you may have to do alot more.

  2. Ecoxotic is releasing a 100W Canon - supposed to be shipping next week. Mount 15-19" above tank gives a spread of 24" x 36" - $499 and you can light that whole 40b with a single fixture.

Those LED lights are awesome, but still pretty spendy!

  3. I am considering this for my 187 that is getting built. Anyone have experience with this brand or know of good or bad reviews? http://www.bulkreefsupply.com/store/products/protein-skimmers/bubble-magus-protein-skimmer/bubble-magus-bm-180-cscone-protein-skimmer.html

Bubble Magnus are ok they're made and construct in China. The pumps are ok but if you want to make it work great modify it with Sicce Pumps.

  4. If your not watching this on tv they just showed the most depressing live video of the tsunami coming inland in Japan. Looks like a lot of people are going to be injured or dead.

I feel so sad for those people over there, i just donated $100 to the earthquake relief. It may not be much but better then nothing!

  6. Clown trigger are very nice but never reef safe. You may want to look into crosshatch, blue jar, or pink tail trigger for reef safe.
