  1. Hi,

we were thinking to move the tank to Katrina's house for the summer, during school closing weeks.

I won't be in town during the week that we planned to move, so I was wondering if there is someone that could help.

It's a 20g all in one tank and it will be moved from the school (97217) to just a few blocks away.

Ideally the week of June 11th.

    Thanks!

  2. At the monthly meeting I picked up the donations for our tank and it's incredible how much it was donated.

    Thank you to:

    Gil&Fin
    spectra
    stylaster

and to who I may have forgotten!

A new killer led light and ATO were installed today.

The kids are gonna go crazy when they will see all that new colors and life!

  3. Alex I have a 3 head frag of  a Duncan. Badxgillen gave it to me when I started back in the hobby so it has lots of good karma. I also have some zoas I can give you. And I’m sure we can cover some snails at the meeting if you need a clean up crew.
Kim, that is fantastic! Thank you!

  4. I can certainly bring the light to the meeting.  If it's OK with you, it might work better to meet up at the house for the frags as I will probably cut stuff based on what and how much you want and don't have a lot of containers or water right now.  Does that sound OK?  Sorry about that... just been really busy and last meeting depleted my bag stock :teardrop:
    Sounds perfect

  5. Hi Alex - depending on what you want, I am always having pieces of "easy" sps that I am trimming (or just knocking off) so if you want to try some things like birds nests, digi, caps you can have pieces of those.  I also have a mat of gold skirted blue centered zoas that could probably be cut if you are willing to give it a try.  Let me know.
That would be great Sean! Do you mind bringing the lights too?

  6. We are getting close to the end of the cycle. The tank looks great!

I am planning a water change next week. Then we are ready for some small fish.

I am not familiar with the program... How does it work? Do usually really nice Coral Store owners donate animals ;-)

The only issue that Katrina is having is the Tunze ATO which works randomly.

We set it up in a plastic container under the tank. Probably 3 ft of head. I gently zip-tied the pump to an acrylic rod to keep it vertical.

I have some of those Tunze ATO Nano at home and they all had problems with the pump. Mine were replaced under warranty and they are fine now. Kinda.

I was wondering if someone has an unused ATO that can give us more stability.

    Thanks!

  7. Thanks Karen for giving Beach elementary the opportunity to have a reef tank.

We met at the school this Monday and the tank was up and running in a snap.

Karen fixed my sloppy rockscaping and the tank looks amazing.

We need a couple of items so far: an outlet timer, a fully submersible heater suitable for a 20 gallon tank.

After cycling, having a couple of fish and softies would be a dream for the kids at Beach.

    Thanks! ed2308088a604ff5f1f40556d70d4fa2.jpg
