  1. I have a simple sump on my 180. It is a 55 gallon rubbermaid. If I had more money I would do a lot more,, maybe someday. I have a small skimmer, a heater, a powerhead, return pumps, and carbon in the sump. Also, most important, lots of space for macro algae to grow.

  2. I do things a little different than most gamers, but I like the way my systems work for everything.

    my system-

    intel 3.2 quad core (45nm, 1333fsb)

    intel MB

    gtx 260 video

    ddr3 1333 ram 4gb (2x 2gb)

    4x 320gb hard drives in a raid

    tv tuner card

    nice corsair PS

lots of fans on the case

  3. I spent 1600 and wouldn't spend a cent more. I built a *****in' PC and any extra performance will not even be needed for two years. I know how to run a PC, I'm sure that is a skill that saves me money. I don't worry about viruses.

  4. It didn't look like ich to me in the pictures.

Sorry for your loss. I had a new fish bring in junk that spread to all my fish. My only loss was when I tried to treat. I think treatment is stressful and fish selection is important.

Nano tanks are tough, QTs are tougher.

I have more to say and a better way to explain my thoughts but my battery is going to die so I have to go now.

  5. This is what I love about reef tanks; some many things grow.

If the pods are swimming fast then they are probably mysids. If they are tiny, they are copepods. If they are bigger and curled slightly, they are amphipods. If they are flat like, they are isopods. If you do searches you can see pictures of all these.

  6. My chaeto grows like mad. In the four months I've been in Oregon it has gone from about the size of a softball to the size of about 8 basketballs or more. The chaeto lights are off for 8 hours each day. Before I started moving stuff back to SLC, I had this chaeto in 4 different systems each with a 23 watt standard CF bulb. When I can I like to do RDP lighting but most my systmes fuges are off at night with the tank. I DO NOT use phosphate remover. My phosphates and nitrates stay at zero on any test kit because of the chaeto.

  7. Thanks.

I moved from SLC just four months ago and now I return. Part of me wishes that I would have found a great job here in Oregon and part of me is happy to move back to SLC.

I think my duncan can make the move to SLC so I'll have to take it.

I'll be moving in two to three weeks.

Wasatch is spelled correctly and WMAS- Wasatch Marine Aquarium Society is a great bunch of people.

Thanks to PNWMAS for making my time in Oregon more enjoyable. I'm glad I got a chance to meet many of you.
