  1. Welcome to the board. I know it can be difficult to get the spouse on board with this hobby. Lucky you she already excepts tanks in the house. Once you start getting just a little bit of your equipment you'll get so excited the going slow part goes out the window for most of us. Keep reading and when your ready just say the word.

Great idea about the "tanks for teachers"

  2. I have 2 different colors of 'Duncans. Both are green but one has a soft lavender color in the center. I have had for over 8 mths. Please say it ain't so Dsoz. I like being able to see the differance.

  3. I like to shop locally. The closest thing to on line buying I've done is bid on items from "ocean in a box", which is local. I have asked LFS to order what I want that they do not have on hand. I know that times are hard all over. I believe in the therory that what I spend to support the small store will stay in my area. I hope to continue that practice.

I like to be treated with respect & kindness when I walk in and happy when I leave. If thats what I get then you get my hard earned dime.

  4. Tank is a 150 gl. I currently have a sump that is 36 in x 15. It is split almost in half to accomidate a refug. in the back half. That leaves 8 1/2 x 17 in for a skimmer. I just can't find one that will fit in that space. I was thinking of adding a box at the end to hold a skimmer. I am worried about connections leaking and how to keep tham dry until it sets up.

It have even looked at new sumps and thought I might have to have one made to incluld all I what in it. That is getting into big bucks, to many flooded storys so I wanted to stay away from external.

    Any other ideas?
