Wish I had a tank big enough for the 19 lamp model. Nothing in the shots was over 3 inches. Except the Large yellow leather. The tank has been up for about 18 mths. I need to move some things around. Things are getting to close for comfort. Thanks Steve, and thanks again for starting me on my sps path. Beckie

I have been running Tek T5's 8 bulb, with individual reflectors on a 150 24in deep. I heard acros and most sps were out. I figured o.k. I'm gonna try just one. Well it not only lived it did well. O.k. let me try another. Same result. I am horrible with the camara and loading. I will see if hubby will do when he gets home. I am by no means an expert on any thing to do with reef tanks. But so far so good. Beckie

I got one for the same reason. They ONLY eat star fish. I had a really bad break out and it took a few weeks to clear them out. My stars went to the sump as well. Won't bother fish, corals, cucumbers, shrip.... star fish of any kind ore dinner. Best $30 I've spent to sovle an issue the 1st. time. Beckie

Bob has the right idea. So does Michael. I had neighbor taunt my dogs every time I was not out side. I called non emergancy # and asked what I could do. It worked out great, a dog loving officer showed up within an hour. He promptly went over and informed them that the dogs have every right to bark at strangers.. thats why many people have them. He informed them that "any" further issues complaints or god forbid harm came to my dogs he would be right back to see them. I would set up a video cam when he thinks your not around. In any area dog's can bark if it is not concidered excessive. Many cases have been solved by catching even a still photo of him over the fence, peepking though fence boards would just as well. You do need to make the 1st call though. It puts the issue on record that you, your dog and others have gotten along just fine until he created the problem. Just my experiance Beckie

I do have a baffles section in my sump. It is pretty small thats what makes this skimmer ideal. From what I've read the reviews make it sound like it can get the job done nicely with very small foot print. Vans, sounds like your happy? I have a 150 with a fairly small bio load. Beckie

O.k. how about a surprise baby shower? Got a wish list, by then you will have an idea of all the things you didn't have before hand. Corals should not be inclulded on the list you have enough for now Beckie

What kind of skimmer did you pick up? If the 15 fits it should work fine, I recently went with an in sump pump and love it. It is almost silent. People use both pvc and flex, personal preferance I think. Beckie

What is going on with SWC 160 cone skimmers? After looking and reseaching I decided it would be the best fit. After looking, asking around they are harder to come by than the hottest new kids toy at Christmas time. After christmas they become availabile the price goes down. Not these bad boys. They are still unavailable and the price is climbing. Can they really be THAT awsome? Did SWC re invent the standard? I gotta know if its worth the wait. Beckie
