Ive had black sand and its fine if you are using and or dosing calcium as there isn't any or as much in black sand... gets old after a while though because you cant see anything on it because its so dark.

With a stock tank that size you will be limited for sure but there are a ton of fish well suited for that size tank! check this site out! http://www.nano-reef.com/

well being I also had a 24 gallon sump and a 10 gallon refugium helped mind you with a ton of filtration but to say you cannot have over three fish in that size tank is retarded, oh no more drama know it all!(laugh)

I think half the people on this site are only on here to brag about there coral! This site is more about who has what and who knows who than helping people out with the hobby and talking about reef related topics!
