so how have everyones bulbs been doing, now that there all burned in. any decrease in light, brightness, color ... thx guys,

ok, so i was storing this large piece of rock with some star polyps, shrooms, and xenia on it and he finaly came to pick it up. so i thought it would be the perfect opertunity to ravage my tank for the man down. SoOOOOOooOOOO, i move my rock were i realy wanted it (pain in the @ss, but glad its finaly were i want it.) and moved half the rock in my tank, but still no sign of the man down. wouldn't he have came out to at least check what was going on, or would he have dug down deeper in a crack? so now i have a pretty decent aquascape that i had been planning. just need to wait for a couple small peices to cure, so i can fill in a couple areas. but, i made the skulls mouth a deeper cave with more exits, the fish realy like it. and i made an archway for them as well, the shrimp realy likes it. I'll take some pics once all my stuff isn't as pissed off at me as it is right now. Probably take some tomorrow. So, back to the yellow tang, there was no sign of a dead body, so i have high hopes. Lets poor a drink for the little bugger, "and stair at the skull". It's margarita time.

dont have a qt tank, best i can do i have the lfs hold him in there tank for a couple weeks. cant convice the wife to let me put up a 40 gallon qt. ohh well. we all do our best. found this tang that i have seen in there front tank for a few weeks. SOOOOOO, i put him in the tank. fed the tank a little extra today just to see if i could get him to eat. nothin yet. saw him hanging out by the skull. went back to check on him 15 minutes later, and gone. no sign of him at all. he was larger than the other. am i just not ment to have a yellow tang in my tank. or did the skull eat him. I have a very small blue tang that is doing well, and has been for a while. not sure what is going on with the yellow tangs. come to think of it, when i first got into the hobby years ago with a fish only tank. i bought a yellow tang who commited suicide by jumping out of the water into the lid of the tank repeatedly until he killed himself. I must be cursed from the yellow tangs. i think the skull ate him (scary)

he showed up, but not they way i had hoped. not sure how he died. I didn't see anyone picking on him, and he was runnin around right off the bat. check my levels and everthing is perfect. guy at the lfs credited me for him, so i guess ill try another yellow tang. kinda sad though, i liked that little guy. he was fun to watch. very playful. ok as far as the rock goes, no one can realy see the skull but me. confirming my wifes idea that im am crazy (nutty). Ok that rock looks like the skull of an eel. the cave is the mouth.

I have a 40 gallon acrylic (plexiglas) fishtank. There are no scratches on the the clear acrylic. It has a black background (some scratches on black background from live rock). It was used as a saltwater tank. If you have a 2" black pvc pipe with slits in it and just down size it to lets say about 1" and then 90 straight out the back of the tank wont work. if you are using acrylic, the back of the tank will flex and the bulk head will be angled upward not letting enough flow come out. If you put a stand pipe on the back you will get water flow but barly any. ive seen other people 90 down and then 90 out the back, and that seems to work, but they complain about noise. i think it has somthing to do with the amout of water pressure. there is less pressure closer to the surface.

well, i have kept an eye on the tank all night and no sign of him.

ok, so i got this small yellow tang 4 days ago. got home today and can't find him any were. Looked in the over flow, hood, floor, and fan. I tried looking behind the rocks and in the cracks, but can't see him any were. do fish just hide were you can't see them at all, even at feeding time. heres a pictures of him. now, i keep telling my wife that rock looks like a skull, but she can't see it. am i crazy or what? (nutty)

I have several of these anemones in my tank. I am selling off 3 of them, and there are a couple smaller ones. they don't move around the tank. great anemone. heres a picture of it. they are $20 each.

is there an attic or crawl space, or an open basement. if not, you will need to tare into the walls. He's right. you dont want to running anything else off your furnace plug. If all those plugs are for fish tanks. I would run dedicated circuits for them. depends what kind of draw all of your equipment takes, for how many circuits you would need. If the other plugs you are adding are just general purpose plugs, then you might be able to run them off your other plugs. It all depends whats on that circuit. peace,

I like the scrolling pictures though. ohh, and dont put a hit counter on there. put a stats counter that no one can see. the time and date have to go. everyone has the time at the bottom right of the screen. ill post more later. peace

a little to dark, i would try lightening up the background a little. when you go down the menu and hover over small animals, it changes the centering of the hole menu. instead of having to go to another page to view subcatigories of the menu, you should make a drop down menu, or a pop out menu, or somthing of those sorts. instead of changing the size of the text when you hover over it, have a submenu pop out with all the choices. generaly i have found that chat rooms dont work as well. usualy not enough people are on there at the same time. i would put togeather a forum, that way people can ask questions or make comments about the customer service, or there experience there. I have never been a fan of the scrolling banner. makes me dizzy. I would use photoshop and make a nice graphic banner. create a theme with colors and fonts and style for your home page and stick with that theme throughout the webpage. Frames don't work on everyones computers, I wouldn't use them. even when they do work, different browsers mess them up. screen size also messes them up. here is a big thing. i would keep the menu throughout the whole web site. other wise people get confused. you could actualy put a different pet at the top of the menu for each area. like for dogs put a dog, for freshwater put a fresh water fish, for saltwater put a saltwater fish ect. well hope you don't think im a negative person. I'm just to the point. Just needs some fine tuning. keep it up.

ok, so i figured before i scrubbed it the first time, I would take the propane torch and run it over the big aiptasia so it would make it easier to scrub them off. good thing i soaked it in fresh water, alot of worms and shrimp came out of all the cracks, i was like, WOW, then i torched them(flame). so much fun to torch them, snap crackle pop.

ok, so im going to scrub it, and rinse it with cold water. then let it dry out (i will rotate the rock to get all the water out) then i will freeze it. then i will soak it in cold water. then scrub it again. then rinse it again, and finally let it dry for about a week. now i should be ready to cycle it for a month (Should i add a small piece of my LR to it while it cycles?). then after a month, it should be ready for my tank. Does this sound good? thx,
