  1. No I am going to be a Junior, but I am moving into an apartment so I can actually have a tank. I lived in Perham for two years. The anemone is a kelly green color. I am going to post a better picture when I get home.
  2. Carpet is still available while working on finding a home.
  3. I used the regular pvc glue for an overflow that I made about a month and a half ago. Let it cure for a day and the tank is doing great. Seems to be just fine if you let it dry, if not everyone knows that smell. Overall seems to be nothing wrong with it if you let it sit for a day or so.
  4. I have about a 4" carpet anemone that I would like to sell to a good home. He is currently doing great but I have to move to Pullman for school and don't want to risk him in the move/mini cycle to follow. Taking offers on a sale or trade.
  5. I will post a few pictures of the tank later today. I kind of want to do a thread that shows pictures from start to finish and get a few tips along the way this time. Where would be the best category to start a new thread in?
  6. Ya that is what I have heard about sixline's, that they are really agressive if already established when new fish come in. I am thinking about hopefully finding a mandarin pair, my pair of percula clowns, and a few others. Think that would work out ok? The chromis school sounds like a good idea.
  7. Well right now I really love my percula clown. She is all alone as the smaller one his name was rocky died after getting ich. It really hit him hard he was one 3/4". Two weeks in the quarantine tank and he was laying on the bottom. :( So I would really like to find her another buddy. I know they will stay over with their anemone, whether it be the carpet or the bubble. So I need some stuff for the rest of the tank. I plan on getting some softies and a few basic lps to start with. And I will be getting MH lighting when I can afford it after paying tuition probably around September. So anyone have any good ideas let me know. I have seen some fish that I think is called a jawfish that digs tunnels underneath the sand. Overall I am just trying to get the fish spread out within the different levels and such.
  8. Well right now I have been working with my dad on his tank at home, and I have a few pieces of my own in there. I have a bubble tip anemone, a merten's carpet with a percula clown in there, a piece of xenia, about a 3 inch diameter yuma, a small frag of zoo's, and thats about it. I really would like a tang of some kind but I have heard they are really susceptible to marine infections.
  9. So I am in the process of slowly setting up a new 55g flat back hex. I say slow because I am a college student and I get to do it in pieces . Well I was wondering what people thought would be a good mix of fish that could go in the tank. I am going to have some soft/LPS coral to start with as I don't have a big enough MH for the new tank. So what would a few good fish be? Or anyone favorite fish that would not outgrow the 55g.
  10. Hello all. The light is still for sale and really needs to go to a new home. Please make me an offer. I am looking for between 400-450 for the light and ballast w/bulbs.
  11. I forgot to add the pictures to the original post. So here they are. One is of the front of the light. You can see that I haven't even cut the cables to length yet, they are full factory length. The second is side, and the third is of the cables in the back. Pm me for offers the price is obo for sure. I need to get rid of this light so I can start working on my other tank. This light works great on cube tanks, and anything that is shorter than 30".
  12. I have for sale a 2' Maristar light. The light brand new cost me $595 from Coralreefecosystems.com (http://www.coralreefecosystems.com/l...unsupply-1.asp). I also put in a 10,000k Ushio Aqualite double ended HQI ($75), 2x 24w Actinic bulbs ($50), and an electronic ballast ($125). I also found out that the light is actually now discontinued so its a pretty hot steal at this price. The system is less that two weeks old and I currently have it hanging above a 37g tank. Overall the light setup cost me $750. Probably paid a bit much for it but Sunlight supply is a local company and I like to support our local manufacturers. I have sadly moved on right after buying this light to a little bit bigger tank and I need to sell this one to pay for some of the new tank. I am looking to get somewhere around 500 for this light as it is essentially brand new.
