wet tile saw diamond blade(plotting). filled the reservoir with saltwater and had at a few chalices. cuts are super clean fastest cutting youl ever do under 50 bucks at harbor freight. only complaint is the largest mess ever and me having to completely change clothes and take a shower. next time ill use it outside. but other than that it is amazing.

  2. Nice setup Shawn! Is that Mikes old setup with the coast to coast in the back??

yeah thats what its called coast to coast.it is indeed. with 2 crazy like 40 dollar a pop bulkheads.

  4. i saw marks tank in person at waves which i believe the one joel made and i will say it did look top notch. i would go glass, id rather pay an extra thousand plus for glass or not have the tank, in my opinion it is just a matter of time before an acrylic tank looks [language filter] a NYC road map no matter what you do.

    glass(rock2)

    starphire(rock2)(rock2)(rock2)

  5. when it was under t5s the base was neon green and the polyps were bright purple. when i went to halides it browned out then kinda started to come back.it was brown for like 3 months under the t5s then decided to change oneweek . hang on to it for a bit and see what happens.

    what do you guys think?

  9. i started out with lava rock i collected from bend. theres still a few huge pieces in my tank you would never know if i didnt tell ya. theres lots oof holes for critetrs and stuff not to mention you can pick out cool shapes. and its free. i filled a huge rubbermaid pretty quick. i just went to a construction area in town in bend where they were gonna build a house or buisness and the ground was kinda tilled up and lava rock was everywhere.

  10. i ran all giessman powerchrome i 6.5k in the center aswell as a 20k in the center the rest were all 10k. growth and color were great. i woulda liked a more blue look but the corals poped.

  11. Oh. it is real....NO DOUBT' date=' but its not quite the colors you see in the photo. It will be more dull in your or my tanks....[/quote']

neither you or i can say that. its entirely possible either way. the first 2 photos are prob what it appears like to the naked eye. but the 3rd photo with what appears to be over saturated and have much more color than possible. could just be that its a crazy super macro shot.i can take super macros of corals and you would never imagine that coral had the colors or intense luminescence that it actually does, just because you cant see it with the naked eye. anyone could start saying the same things about corals pictured on your site or any site for that mater. its just one of those things you don't for sure know, so i wouldn't say.

  12. it can totaly be blue eggcrate. i almnosted did some red with some extra krylon fussion i had laying around.more importantly look at the color of the substrate. im not saying its not photoshoped. but i do not doubt that its real.
