  1. I am starting a new tank after several years with no tank. I've had a nano set up for a few months now, and will be moving it over to a 40 within the next few weeks..... I'm looking for starter frags - softies and lps. Maybe yellow polyps, green star polyps, frogspawn, pom pom xenia, zoas, candy canes, mushrooms or ???? Looking for something near Longview/Kelso.... Thanks. Beth.
  2. I am getting back into the game after being out for about 3 years..... I will be setting up a 40 breeder - I prefer mostly soft corals with a few LPS thrown in, I have no interest in SPS. It seems that t-5 lighting is most popular now. In the past I have done VHO and pc. So, now I am looking for a stand-alone fixture for a 40 breeder. I am thinking of the Current Sundial. It has 4 t-5 bulbs and moonlights (which are important to me), and the cost is under $250 (which is very important to me). My concern is that it looks cheap and I wonder how well the built-in timers will hold up. Does anyone have experience with this fixture? Or any other recommendations that are under $250. thanks, Beth.
  3. Is anyone near Longview/Kelso. I'm looking to start a nano again. I need 20-25 pounds of liverock. Then softcorals and LPS.....
  4. It does have 2 switches - one for each of the bulbs. How can I determine if the problem is the ballast or starter or something else? I guess I need to start taking it apart and see what's in there.... Maybe it will be cheaper/easier to just find another used light... I have been out of reefs for 3 years and now really have the itch again, much to my husband's dismay. So, I was hoping that I could use my remaining equipment and just set up a small tank to save on money, but now it looks like I will need to purchase some new lighting.
  5. I have an older Custom Sealife 24" compact light fixture. It is 2X65 watt bulbs - each with their own powercord and it also has 2 moonlights with a seperate power cord. One of the bulbs no longer comes on. The problem is not the bulb itself - so I'm not sure if that means the starter is bad or the ballast or what? Is this something that can be repaired? I contacted Current USA (who bought out Custom Sealife) and they responded that they do not have any Custom Sealife parts and that their ballasts are different from Custom Sealife. I have no electrical experience and don't know how to proceed..... Beth.

I live near Longview, WA. Thanks!
  14. I am ideally looking for a 36" long tank with a nice looking stand. Prefer a 58 or a 40 breeder. Would also be interested in any lighting/rock/livestock. Thanks.
  15. I'm still looking. I just sent you an email. Please let me know the particulars, price, where you are located, and any pics would be nice. thanks.
  16. I sold everything when we moved, so I could downsize a bit. Looking for a 30" or 36" tank/stand. Ideally I want a 40 breeder, but would also consider a 29 or 58 or cube or maybe even a 20 long or other size. The stand is important - no black, no particle board. Prefer a pine or oak stand with a lip to cover the trim on the tank. Tank does not need to be drilled. Also, does not need to be immediate, I can wait a month or two, or maybe more - so if you are thinking of upgrading, let me know what you have available....
  17. What size tank will you be selling, or is it already spoken for?
