  1. So I bought these of garret and it was much too large of a colony/frag for my tank. So I cut some peices of and need the room on the frag rack. $6 each. Most frags are a couple heads and look amazing. Mounted to plugs.
  2. http://www.pnwmas.org/forums/showthread.php?t=9861 Plus a ton more now, just fragging them either today or tomorrow.
  3. Comes trade me some of those duncans for zoas
  4. Its about 15lb's dry from bulkreefsupply. Theres a k1 and a koralia nano in there.
  5. I have the four fan azoo unit, havnt had to use it yet.
  6. Cant find the completed version, but its similar to this. By making a simple acrylic box to take up the entire area in there you can more then double, almost triple the volume held by the ATO. http://www.nano-reef.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=173395&hl=solana
  7. If you are going to keep the stock ATO, there was a cool little mod to make it alot more viable. Lemme try and find it.
  8. here it is rice-papered. Looks so much better and hides some of the ugly stuff I keep in there.
  9. Yeah I tossed in a mj1200. I took off almost all of the loc lines also. Those things are ugly.
  10. Also if you are going to use the stand that comes with it, you could put rice paper over it and it looks awesome.
  11. No one uses the glass top. The only point of the eggcrate top is to keep fish from jumping. I just cut out a like 3" eggcrate top to fit around the tank and spray painted it black.
  12. I think it just comes down to what you like to look at. I don't like biocubes/aquapods much because of the plastic hoods and rounded corners. Ive always liked the rimless look with black silicone.
  13. Check out the megathread on reefcentral about solana, its 30 pages but they describe them so much better then I could. They truly are amazing tanks and after reading that thread I decided it was what I wanted. http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1341848&perpage=25&pagenumber=1
  14. I think the best thing is how it looks. I think it looks so much better then most of the other AIO's. The rimless look is awsome, the glass+black silicone look is sweet. The stand is amazingly well built and looks good also. The back compartments are a nice size, I can fit my entire hand inside all of them which makes it easy to clean, unlike biocubes and the like I couldnt even fit a few fingers in there. The falsewall on the back is angled which I think is super cool looking. Gives it a nice dept look to it.
  15. Just that depending on how much evap you have, you may have to refill the bottles a couple times a day.
  16. Never messed with the stock ATO. Heard bad things about it though.
  17. I don't see a reason why you couldn't put it on then.
  18. I use a home-made ato, just a tom-lifter pump and a float valve, cost like $20 and super easy to make. I keep my topoff water in a 5.5g tank inside the stand, works perfectly. I used the stock skimmer for a while and it worked pretty well, just a tad bit noisy. I eventually upgraded to a tunze nano skimmer when a good deal popped up. I don't understand what you mean by the compartments look bigger.
  19. Its easy to turn the middle chamber into a fuge though, Since the back of the solana is clear, you could easily put a light on the back to shine through to grow cheato. Thats what I did and love it, I even have a HOB fuge+skimmer combo sitting around that I don't use because the other way is so effective.
