PM Sent for fishy

What do you mean by... "is this ich again"?
If you've had ich in the past and did not properly treat it, it is most likely the same ich.
The tang picture really looks like ich.
Good link below as an FYI:

Good luck and hope they make it out.

Nice work Rick and great pics. My ph is also around 7.8. What does moving the skimmer airline outside do?

Rick, it was a pleasure meeting you the other night. Keep up the good work! Can't wait to see the finished product.

I have one with my purple tang and they get along fine but now I'm getting ready to get my hippo out of my tank as well because I just don't have room for all of them right now and my wife would like fish with more colors and so that is what i'm trying to do now get my blue hippo out (plotting) I just hope it works here in the next couple hours lol (laugh)
LMK... if you get to him!

nice pix by the way!

sounds like a lot of progress for 1 day. good job.
LMK if you decide to part with the clowns as I have a small frag tank for them.

Nice dimensions. I always loved deep tanks but my short arms never reached the bottom.

thank you Jay for the regulator. It works great.
Glad that it worked out for you.

New tank has fully cycled and was looking for some new fishies.
Most interested in show size fish like 5"+.
Triggers, puffers, tangs, angels etc...
If you have any for sale please send me a PM.
TIA

I agree with most of the cons thats been listed.
Not sure if its been mentioned but I also think resale value of the tank should be considered. Once you have a tank custom made or drilled for a CL I believe it lowers the resale value of the tank. Since most people don't want a CL system.

I'll take the 2 t5 reflectors (standard sunlight supply ones). But would need to meet you in the vancouver/portland area. At your convenience of course and no rush on my end.

I too wanted to go with an aggressive tank setup this time around, but after seeing nice setups with colorful corals I'm most likely going softies w/ lots of fish.
I would opt away from a closed loop system as well. There are so many options to get internal flow going and you can add/remove/move at anytime.
Just my 2 cents.

It was nice to meet you yesterday. The tank looks great.
The pleasure was mine and thanks for the corals. They seem to be doing great. I'll have to hit you up next week sometime for those hard coral frags. My nano should be ready this weekend.

Beautiful build, congrats! I really appreciate the clean lines of your stand. Simple but beautiful, and doesn't take away from the tank itself.
Thanks... I kind of like the clean lines and the contemporary look. But once I get some trim I may dress it up a little.
I was curious as to your long term plans for the tank? With 2x250w halides, and 4-T5's over that large of a tank, it seems like your lighting coverage will be under par for high needs corals. Also, with only 2 K-4's, it seems like your flow would be on the low end also(I had 3 K-4's, modded with large impellers in my 125g).
The 4 t-5s are quite enough for actinics and yes the 2x250s don't quite get good coverage across an 8' span. But since my plans are mainly soft corals and lots of fish I think for now it is quite adequate. I can also add a 400w in the center and keep hard corals in that section at a later time.
1 of my K4s are modded and it definitely puts out some serious flow. I'd like to mod the other one and shop for another pair in the near future.
Also, what thickness of acrylic was used in the build?
1/2" all around but has minimal deflection in the front/back.
All in all, beautiful tank man. Has some amazing potential.
Thanks again!

nice little pico tank. What kind of lighting are you using?
-
Thanks for all the nice comments guys!
BTW: The main stand legs are 2x6s totaling of 8 legs. Plus a pair of 2x4s and a center 2x6. So support should not be an issue.
