As soon as I took them off their happy holds in my tank they got angry and shrank to about 1/2 their size. I'm sure after two days in a bag they're seriously pissd. Hopefully they'll open up for you.

well I sent them yesterday around 1pm so they should be there today, I hope.

It's a 16 gallon with 96w compacts on it.

Er, sorry, I did not get it out today as I realized this morning I do not have dzoz's address written down, and for some reason (and I'm kinda pizd about this) my internet connection at home has not worked all day, which I pay for and share with a neighbor and they must have turned off the router. So now I'm at a computer lab down at UO trying to scrounge this arrangement back together. Can I send tomorrow? Even if it takes an extra day they can still get it to you Saturday if they have to. I send it off by 2pm, that's probably why the Priority anemone got there the next day. It goes out with that day's mail. Or if you want me to wait until next week that's ok too. And yes, I'm printing the label for express/overnight shipping, not priority.

Ok, here's my solution. I did have someone here in town that wanted to buy one but I thought they were all spoken for. What I can do is send you the two you have paid for in the same bag with 3" of water, which will put the weight right around 2#s. This lowers the express shipping to about $21, so since you both paid $9 for shipping that works out to only be a $3 difference which I am willing to eat. How does that sound? That way, since you've both already paid, I can get them out tomorrow rather than wait for another person to claim the last one.

Ok, with 2-3" of water in each bag the total shipping express is $27.60, making it about $9 each person for the three of you. I could try to cut back more on water to save weight if you'd like - the shipping container only weighs 150 grams.

I received payment from Garrett already so his will be going out Monday - if you guys want yours out by Monday then Paypal is the fastest way. That should mean yours will arrive Tuesday afternoon, whereas his won't be there till Wednesday using Priority. On the plus side, I may be able to individually bag your three in one box.

Shipping for all 4 will be $7.00 for Priority 2 day or $30 Express Overnight to Portland or Salem. That's up to 5#s, and assuming they're all in the same bag. Like I said, I've had good luck with Priority, so you may want to save some $ there.

I don't think I'm heading up anytime soon, though the trip I'm raising $ for may end up having a stop in Portland (much more likely San Fransisco, Phoenix, or Denver) but if it does, I will try to bring them with. The larger ones are about 4-5" across when open and the smallest is about 3-4". This was one of the first things in my original tank and it just keeps splitting. It's been through some hellacious water quality issues and I even ripped it in half once and both halves survived. Yes, they are ok next to each other in the tank - most of them all hang out on the same rock. I definitely don't think shipping weight would be over 5# and I have little coolers for them.

I have 4 BTAs from the same original anemone that are just taking over my tank. I would love to get some gas money for my trip across the US in August so I'm asking $20 each for 3 about the same size and $15 for the smaller one, but offers will be considered. All are very healthy and growing, though they are fairly hungry in these pictures. I can also ship USPS Priority as I've had good experience with it locally (within 500 miles).

Do they come in straight pin that will fit the aqualight dual 48" fixtures, though? I know they need to be 21" to fit end-to-end and some bulbs are longer.

I'm planning on leaving August 9 and returning the 19th if everything works out with my work schedule. You wouldn't really need to come over as often as every other day as long as things are going fine. They are definitely fat enough to go several days without food. I don't have an auto-fill, my tanks simply aren't big enough to warrant one, but the evap rate is not very high since I have glass hoods on both. I'll try to give a call later this week - my computer recently blew its video card so I have to borrow others' to get online, and I work 6 days a week. Thanks!

While I have many friends and neighbors willing to do the job, I would feel much more comfortable leaving my tanks in the care of someone who knows fish a bit better. I will be leaving for 10 days in August and will need someone to come by and check/feed my 16 bow reef and 55 gal freshwater tanks at least every other day. I am afraid there may be some catastrophe like a power outage and I don't want my tanks to crash because of it. I'm also always on the lookout for disease in my freshwater tank (I have been battling flukes for quite some time) and want someone who knows distress signs.

Person must be:

1. Able to commute to my house in Eugene (near UO) at least every other day.

2. Able to feed my little guys (including sun polyps once while I'm gone) from the array of foods I have in stock.

3. Able to come by in case of emergency to hook up a battery-operated air pump (I have one) and possibly do water changes.

4. Willing to treat my tank with medication and do appropriate water changes should the need arise - I will supply an ample library of meds if needed.

5. Willing to accept payment in the form of frags, beer, or cash.

6. HONEST - NOT STEAL ANYTHING OR HAVE RAGING PARTIES. I'm poor enough already!

7. Also possibly feed my gecko (just plop a dish of baby food in the tank and fill her water) and water my indoor plants. This would make MY life much easier as I only have one house key and I wouldn't be able to have another person do that if you have the key.

8. You are the guardian of my house key. It is the only one I have and if it gets lost I must pay $30 to get a new one. Please do not lose the key!

If this is something you might want to do, please PM or email me. Payment will depend on the amount of labor involved, but I was thinking a baseline of a case of beer, 2 frags, or $20? I will want to meet/screen anyone before I choose someone and introduce them to my tanks. Thanks a bunch!

Anyone know if there is a significant difference in Coralife, Sunpaq, and All-Glass compact Fluorescents? My main concerns are obviously lux output and bulb life. All-glass is significantly less expensive than Coralife and if there is no other difference I'd prefer to save the $. I would be using them in a Coralife fixture.

I work at a vet office and we get vaccines in nice small styrofoam boxes that are perfect for shipping frags without using a huge box - I started saving these and they're building up. Free to whoever comes to get them. We have bigger ones too but these are by far the easiest to ship.

Filtration: Prizm skimmer with rubble in the final chamber of the skimmer to increase biofiltration. Also has an Aquaclear 50 with double biomedia and no carbon, with Aquaclear surface skimmer attachment to remove that icky surface skum.

Lighting: Coralife Aqualight 96w 50/50 compact fluorescents, little blue moonlight

Average temperature is about 76-78F

I was speaking to a vet at a conference the other night who is also a diver for the Oregon Coast Aquarium, and she mentioned that one of the staff in charge of treating the fish there said they use pure oxygen as an anesthetic. Now, we all sort-of questioned the validity of that statement, so I decided to ask you who are wise in such matters. In my years of research I have learned that excessive oxygen levels cause tissue damage, so how can it be safely administered as an anesthesia? Thanks for clearing my head.

Ok, really, I need to get rid of some of these. The Anthelia frags (I have determined that's what they really are) are starting to grow across my tank. I have decided to keep the anemone listed and sell the larger "mother" anemone instead - in a 16g tank, there's just no room for a 10" anemone that keeps getting bigger. I have several of the mushrooms left too. Everything listed above except the zoas are still available. Also have some sawtooth caleurpa to get rid of. Willing to trade!! If they're not taken by next week I'm trading them in to the LFS.

Any pulsing xenia? Looks like you had some in previous posts.
