Still down by 20 or so likes :(
Every person who likes my photo from now until midnight gets the hookup on Coldwater Livestock whenever they want it!!!

Last day to vote!! I Need your help in a photo contest!!!
So I'm in the running on Aquabella's facebook page to win a FREE AB41 Wall mounted tank.
I actually looked into getting one used a couple years ago to use as a coldwater tank and gave up on the idea. If I can win this one for free I would have no problem drilling holes in it to mount some Iceprobe micro chillers onto.
So if you all could PLEASE hook it up with a like and maybe a share to help me get the most likes before the 28th I would love you all for it, and there would DEFINITELY be a build thread here!!!
Heres the link to the picture, just like it and you are doing me a HUGE favor:

I'll hit you back on the PM

Just let me know when you want jellies and I'll go get em They should be fine at room temp, and I could probably find several medusa jellies pretty easy. We also find the Sea Gooseberrys on the regular.
-
How could you not like a giant pacific octopus (laugh)
Got you coverd
Thanks!! Just checked and I'm now within 10 likes of the leader!!! Gotta make a big push and blow up this clownfish by the 28th

Plans after that involve a lot of bad *** stuff from Monterrey Bay for a wall mounted California biotope tank running in the low 60's B)
Already got the hookup on all the livestock, just need everyone who happens to be on here and on Facebook to give me a hand beating this other guys picture with the most likes.

Just wanted to invite any locals that may be going to Reefapalooza this weekend to come and say hi!!
Josh and I will be heading down there tomorrow morning with our livestock to setup, so I hope to see a few of you if you can make it
I wonder if anyone else is bringing Corynactis and a baby Giant Pacific Octopus to the show......
-
At the least the Beavers were able to beat Washington State this year, good job little brother
GO DUCKS.
-
I also have live tigriopus calicornicus collected from Oregon if you want them as a food source
-
If you want jellies I can collect some for you this weekend just let me know how many you want to try. We usually get 2 kinds pretty easily. They are the Cross Jellyfish (Mitrocoma cellularia) and the Red-Eye Medusa (Polyorchis penicillatus).
We occasionally come across the Moo Jellies also.

Recently added this to our website and have started posting it around on forums so that others may ask questions.
Feel free to ask here or on our website, I'd love to start gathering the answers to the most frequently asked questions into one place

Thought I would throw this out for any of the locals that have mantis shrimp, octopus, large fish, eels, or anything else that may enjoy a live crab as a treat.
Its a much cheaper than feeding emerald crabs I bet
Post here or shoot me a PM if you need some or wanna give em a try.

Coldwater jellies are easy, stay small, and are plentiful
I've been keeping a few in my system just to play around with.

Got one left of the two we caught last weekend.
Here's a little video of him

The guys that are setting up the new Aquarium in Portland are looking for anyone willing to donate any tropical rock or unwanted animals to help get the tropical systems cycled.
If anyone would like to help out please email them at TheOregonAquarium@gmail.com
I also tossed out the idea of having them host one of the monthly club meetings to get everyone a behind the scenes tour of the facility either during construction or before they open to the public
-
Brought in a couple bags of Sepia Officinalis eggs.
If anyone is interested in Coldwater cuttlefish get ahold of us
-
I'm going to be upgrading our coldwater holding system soon and selling off most of the existing components.
There is a large acrylic tank and stand I'll be getting rid of. Tank measures 66"x20"x36" hit me up if your interested, it'll be like $300.

These are at the cold water tanks at Lane Community College. I often collect mussles for them and the Nautilus to feed their starfish and usually collect other cool things when I find them. I think they run their tanks in the low 50's.
Tell them to check out our website if they are looking for something that they cant seem to find. We have a bunch of stuff in stock and go collecting almost every weekend.
-
ODFW made quite sure that wouldn't happen Thats why I want to know more specifically where it was found, since we can only collect within certain GPS coordinates laid out in our permits.
-
Didn't know if I every chimed in with this or not, but I set up a standard ATS on my cold water system and it gets just natural sunlight. Seems to be growing great, I had to clean a good amount off of it recently.
So these work just as well in a coldwater system

If you google seal rock' date=' I found him next to the rock islands you can see there.[/quote']
The ones farthest south or the ones you have to climb down the steep dirt hillside to get down to? Was it in the small rock pools or in the water with exposed surf?
