Looks like a great time! Sorry I missed it. I had planned to come and then got caught up with something else that day. Would love to flip through that coldwater book sometime' date=' Stu. [/quote']
For sure Next meeting I'm at I will bring all my coldwater reference books, but I may need a hand truck to get em all there
Looks like a nice venue! (clap)(clap) Great job Stu! I hope you got some Coldwater converts!Jeff your baby is growing up so fast and he's adorable! Love the IPAD sign in. Very high tech!(clap)(clap)I think I did for sure Talked to Carlos from JCA Elite Scuba for a good while and I think it really perked his interest knowing he can collect his own stuff while diving He's gonna come along on one of our Oceanside adventures next outing.
The teachers really were interested! Which is something I would LOVE to do for them
Only down side now is that I'm going to have to battle everyone on the forums when good deals on chillers and thick acrylic tanks pop up, lol (laugh)

Had a great time! I think Josh and I hung around chatting until everyone had left and it was just us and Kevin
I think we may try and coordinate the beach cleanup trip along with a tidepool excursion
Also, the tanks for teachers program might be getting a little cooler here in the future Gotta get Kelly and Nichole hook up at their schools now with some Coldwater setups
Thanks again for having us!

Sounds good guys I think I have enough bottles on hand to do 20-30 bottles so I hopefully that'll cover it.
Been needing to thin out the herd of pods anyways
-
I'll be bringing a bunch of tigriopus copepod cultures also Special meeting price $5
-
Doing up a bunch of tigriopus bottles to bring to to meeting this Sunday, normally $8 but will be $5 for anyone at the meeting
Post up here if you want more than 1 bottle and I'll make sure to get you down for them.
Bring cash please because this will likely become beer money during or after the meeting, lol
See you all this Sunday!

If you are anywhere near Clackamas / happy valley they occur naturally in the drainage across the street from my house I use them to feed my larval newts. They are free
-
Lol ? I love a good Coldwater pun.
I'll for sure make up a bunch of bottles of pods and bring em down. Do a club special for $5 a bottle or something Gonna try and get out to the coast this coming weekend and harvest some more brood stock so you guys will have fresh wild ones in there also.
Also, for those interested in trying out a Coldwater tank on a budget I will be more than happy to share all the tricks and DIY stuff to do one

Looking forward to this (rock2) I love every second that I get when people wanna hear me talk, mostly because my wife is sick and tired of hearing me talk about anemones and octopus (laugh)
I better update my presentation, lol. The last time I gave this was back in April and quite a few new and exciting things have happened since then
I'm hoping for at least a few Coldwater coverts after the meeting................so I guess the only question is......................who's chilling with me.
Oh wait I got a better one....................who's gonna catch cold?
Wait, wait, wait..................................Are you cool enough for coldwater?
I could do this for days, but I'll save some for the meeting (laugh)
-
Thanks again for the deal on the little chiller!
-
Pm'd you on the chiller.
-
Just got back from Stu's place and snagged a bunch of Red-eye medusa jellyfish for the tank. Thanks again Coldwater Marine Aquatics! (clap)
Pictures to come after they acclimate to the tank.
No problem Just let me know how they do, I still gotta get to making a tank so I can keep em inside where I can enjoy them while I have em, lol.
Little kids...lolPods and phyto

The Octopus generally prefer the taste of children, thats why I had to get rid of that one....(hungry)
If you wanna try a small Moonglow anemone in there just let me know and I'll hook you up Might be kinda cool and it if they survive on my window sill they should be ok in your tank
-
Why cant Leopard sharks just fall out of the sky when I'm looking for them....
-
Hey I like the picture showing how bored the guy in the booth next to us looked. Our booth was surprisingly hopping all weekend.
Heck yeah it was
Did you like how I used my tactical knowledge to create a fatal funnel once people came in to look at the Octopus
That along with us loitering around the front of it all the time looking at the tanks brought in more people to see what we were looking at (laugh)

I got a 3" Onespot Fringehead out in one of my garage tanks that I am dying to put into this tank if I win it
I'm thinking of giving the back of the tank the spray foam rock with barnacles for the fish to hide in and make it look like a temperate underwater cliff side
Oh yeah and this.....
-
Thanks Next Octopus we are getting will be the Californian Two Spot Bimacs, and the Pacific Reds (O.Rubescens)
Should be pretty killer

Strangely enough I've been planning a coldwater aquaponic grow out using a plant commonly called "sea bean" or "sea asparagus" Its a succulent that goes well in salads I guess, it just tastes like a salty crunchy snap pea kind of.
