  1. Mine is an octopus pump. I would go with the large Eheim if I had it to do again.

The intake and output tubes are these...

I get 90% of my stuff from Jason at CRPC. In fact, most of this was his idea.

  2. The chiller sits next to the tank on the floor. I would not recommend putting your chiller in the stand. It will lower the efficiency and probably overheat.

Please pardon the mess, we have some extra visitors...

  3. I built a closed loop on mine using a 1000gph rated pump. The inlet(with screen of course) and outlet are the black pre-bent returns, and fit nicely in the rear corners in the display, I hardly notice them. I put the pump in my stand and drilled holes in the back for the plumbing. It fits well next to my ATO 5gal supply.

  4. I leave mine running 24/7. Dont have a reason, just one less timer. Ive found it grows better in the 6500k range better than other spectrums.

Most people run their lights on opposite cycles to keep ph balanced. I never really have ph problems the way I run mine, though.(knock on wood)

  5. I dont have much experience, but I did notice one of my acans doing the same thing. Once I gave up on trying to make it happy(moving it to more/less flow/light) it got comfortable and opened right up. Took about 2 months, though
