  1. Roland will be "showing off" at the 2007 Cavalino in West Palm Beach at the end of the month...

I have been there a few times... I am always amazed at everything!

Will post more pics tonight...Wish I had high speed instead of dialup...DOH

  2. Well.. Darn it!

I will bring 3 cups of sand... 2 to trade (1 from nu2reef-n and another hopeful trade) and one for you H2Ocooled (if you are going... actually I could bring you more...)

Just wanting diversity also. (In the world as well as my tank :) )

  4. Well...

What is the difference between Indian Yoga and Mexican Yoga?

    Indian Yoga...

"This version of the posture requires considerable strength in the neck , shoulders and back. Requiring years of practice to achieve. It should not be attempted without supervision"

    Years of practice..."

    yoga_Indian.jpg

    And then of course....

    Mexican Yoga...

    yoga_Mexican.jpg

    Requiring only Tequilla!

  5. Ronjr

It was purchased by a Microsoft exec.... Who is to remain nameless (whistle) ... He did not have the car ling before it ended up at the 'yard'. The car was found on it's way to the metal melter... The scrap yard found out what the car was worth... Roland ended up buying it.

It was found in the fine state of Washington...

    OK... more photos.

The F40LM is a full race version of the F40 street car (LM for LeMans). LeMans did not see the F40LM race except for some trials (3... I think... :) ). The car is fully race equipted with items such as Nitrogen operated jacks to raise it to change tires and repair... full carbon fiber shell... Titaniam and carbon fiber throughout, aluminium oil and gas tanks, etc.

    The car was stripped naked...

    pic-05.jpg

    Not much for a frame...

    CHECK OUT THE GARAGE!

    pic-07.jpg

    pic-21.jpg

THe LM versins of the F40 have the large inverted scoop in the front (as seen in car 51), the street version has the 2 little air ducts...

The car is getting fitted with a hand rolled aluminum roof and a custom carbon fiber dash.

    pic-08.jpg

How many F40's do you see?

    What other toys are there?

What is the silver car in the backgroung?

Well... since the F40's did not end up racing LeMans on a large scale... Roland was able to buy a spare motor from someone who was speculation that the motors would be rare and needed fast in case of a wreck or something... This person purchased a few of theses and sat on them for 4-5 years... Roland bought one off of Ebay... for an undisclosed sum... He said it was pennies on the dollar!

The motor was completely dissassembled and rebuilt for more ponies and to ensure that everything was in order. Twin turbo, dual overhead cam Pure Ferrari V8... Notice the wastegate on the top of the exhaust... Shots flames at full boost out about 3 feet!

    pic-06.jpg

Oh... Here is one of my toys....

    930-01.jpg

    930-02.jpg

    0 - 60 in 4.3 seconds...

    Oh....

The F40 LM was about 0 - 60 in 2.8 seconds... Top speed about 245 mph. You had to pull your 'Ahem  & (scary) ' out of the seat after that rush!

    More to come...

I have some really cool vids to post... Is there a site that can accept 3 gigs of movies for a month or so?

  6. GEORGE CARLIN'S NEW RULES FOR 2007:

New Rule: Stop giving me that ad for classmates.com! There's a reason

you don't talk to people for 25 years. Because you don't particularly

like them! Besides, I already know what the captain of the football team

is doing these days -- mowing my lawn.

New Rule: Don't eat anything that's served to you out a window unless

you're a seagull. People are acting all shocked that a human finger was

found in a bowl of Wendy's chili. Hey, it cost less than a dollar. What

did you expect it to contain? Lobster?

New Rule: Stop saying that teenage boys who have sex with their hot,

blonde teachers are permanently damaged. I have a better description for

    these kids: "Lucky bastards."

New Rule: If you need to shave and you still collect baseball cards,

you're a dope. If you're a kid, the cards are keepsakes of your idols.

If you're a grown man, they're pictures of men.

New Rule: Ladies, leave your eyebrows alone. Here's how much men care

about your eyebrows: Do you have two of them? Okay, we're done.

New Rule: There's no such thing as flavored water. There's a whole aisle

of this crap at the supermarket, water, but without that watery taste.

Sorry, but flavored water is called a soft drink. You want flavored

water? Pour some scotch over ice and let it melt. That's your flavored

    water.

New Rule: Stop screwing with old people. Target is introducing a

redesigned pill bottle that's square, with a bigger label. And the top

is now the bottom. And by the time grandpa figures out how to open it,

he''ll be in the morgue. Congratulations, Target, you just solved the

    Social Security crisis .

New Rule: The more complicated the Starbucks order, the bigger the

[language filter]. If you walk into a Starbucks and order a "decaf grande,

    half-soy, half-low fat, iced vanilla, double-shot, gingerbread

cappuccino, extra dry, light ice, with one Sweet-n'-Low, and one

NutraSweet," ooh, you're a huge [language filter].

New Rule: I'm not the cashier! By the time I look up from sliding my

card, entering my PIN number, pressing "Enter," verifying the amount,

deciding, no, I don't want cash back, and pressing "Enter" again, the

kid who is supposed to be ringing me up is standing there eating my

    Almond Joy.

New Rule: Just because your tattoo has Chinese characters in it doesn't

make you spiritual. It's right above the crack of your [language filter]. And it

translates to "beef with broccoli." The last time you did anything

spiritual, you were praying to God you weren't pregnant. You're not

    spiritual. You're just high.

New Rule: If you're going to insist on making movies based on crappy,

old television shows, then you have to give everyone in the Cineplex a

remote so we can see what's playing on the other screens. Let's remember

the reason something was a television show in the first place is that

the idea wasn't good enough to be a movie.

New Rule: No more gift registries. You know, it used to be just for

weddings. Now it's for babies and new homes and graduations from rehab.

Picking out the stuff you want and having other people buy it for you

isn't gift giving, it's the white people version of looting.

New Rule: When I ask how old your toddler is, I don't need to hear "27

months." "He's two" will do just fine. He's not a cheese. And I didn't

really care in the first place.

New Rule: If you ever hope to be a credible adult and want a job that

pays better than minimum wage, then for God's sake don't pierce or

tattoo every available piece of flesh. If so, then plan your future

around saying, "Do you want fries with that?"

  7. Alright...

I didn't mean to Hijack the 17,000 gal Reefzilla tank build thread...

    So...

Let me introduce you to a GREAT friend of mine...

    Roland

    pic-15.jpg

Roland is a self made man... never finished school... ran away from the orphanage...

He is an example of you can be ANYTHING you want to be.

Yes... the arm bands behind are from his years of racing motorcycles...

In fact 5 time world GT Champion (first to go 200mph at Nurinburgring:))

    Won LeMans 3 time , stock Porsche, '68, '69 and '71.

He was paralyzed for 12 years...

His dream was to own a Ferrari...

Not just ANY Ferrari... an F40LM

This is what he bought for $40,000

    pic-01.jpg

    pic-02.jpg

    pic-03.jpg

Check out the melted turbos and intake...

    pic-04.jpg

I put together a presentation for him to show the Dream being built...

I will share with you if ya want

  8. That f-40LM we "drove" from NY to LA in 5 days... I have lived some dreams :D

great vid at 245 for about 10 minutes..

Currently I am uploading photos for the new thread... sorry about the Hijack DOH

Yes.. the 430 is VERY sweet... I havn't owned one of those yet...

  9. Funny... Spazz (not to assume anything here...) mis-spelled the model of Ferrari. He is as innocent as they get. He just didn't know :)

It is a 360 MODENA... not Medina..

Great cars... don't like the paddle shift... doesn't track with the wheel and can be ackward at times.... especially at the track. :)

I still like the gated 6 speed... Like this one....

    f40lm1a.jpg

Alright... Off topic... just miss driving at speeds in excess of 240 mph.....

    Time to start new thread...

  10. You should have seen the look on a cops face when I broke out a bag (gallon ziplock) about half full of a chunky white powder... I was giving a co-worker a bag of grout that had drawn some moisture... we were holding it up and studying it... very suspicious.

He came over to look with his hand on his gun...

Posted a new thread about cheato...

By the way... Can I steal this thread?

Free cheato!!! about a 8" ball worth!

  11. the children and I took a trip to Hawaii.

You should hear a 2 year old and a 4 year old trying to say it....

over and over and over until I thought I was going to burst..

    very cute though !

now Ron... why did you have to remind me :D

  12. Mr. C..

Assuming that your walls are 6"...

    I would just install a 2x10 header... 2 - 2x10's nailed to a 2x6 that is flat.

so that the total width is the same as the 2x6... 5 1/2 inches.

This is rated for loads up to 8 feet.

I am in Corvallis.. I am a licensed contractor and I also am very busy... :D

Pm me your number and we could chat. Interior walls can be load bearing even with trusses.. depends on how it was designed.

I WOULD ALWAYS PUT IN A HEADER!

    Good luck!

  13. Duh!

    Ryan...

Look at the location... says Corvallis... DOH!

Yenna if you want to come over for holiday cheer I am having a Holiday gathering this Saturday night. Palani brought over some new frags :D ... Rearrainged the rock... added some other stuff... Tank is looking a lot better. Ryan is also coming over saturday... (We have a lot of beer to keg...:D). Ryan... you can bring the wife and children.

    Hey... It's almost Christmas!

  14. Quite funny...

A lady friend of mine does most of OSU's and CDC's necropsys. Mainly on animals. When she heard that my blue tang died... she brought me a few bottle of formaldihyde and wants to do a necropsy on it to see why it died...

Jordan... Is that the kind of information you want? post mortum work?

    Let me know...
