I am currently looking at getting 2 - #4's for my 90. Marine Ddepot claims that these should NOT be used with a wave maker. Dang... that is what I wanted to do. Has anybody tried using these with a variable power source, i.e changing the phase of the current feeding them to cause the impeller to speed up/slow down? (Think motor speed controler, not voltage). What about turning them off for feeding and nighty-night mode? Any inexpensive sources out there? Thanks,

The specific gravity is the same as Brix * 4 (or in your case... SG/4 is appoximately the brix) But why would you want to use a low range refractometer for beer or wine?

What is actually occuring in Europe for health care? Some of the socialized medicine works... Canada? Take away the monopoly...

Oh... I found out that I have Graves disease... Lots of Dr appts... Prescriptions... no health insurance Socialized medicine sounds fair and could be profitable....for all.

another consequence... Well... My job was exported with the rich foreigners (which all were educated in the USA) taking jobs home where they make 20 times the average local wage.... Some of them have drivers and maids... and the 3 of them combined making less than a third of my salary.... (Lawyers make lots more ). They have socialized healthcare! Saved my company (at the time) $500 million. Making it lucrative to export labor and import everything else, treat it as disposable... destroys the middle class... Both in India and here... The rich get richer... the middle class becomes the poor and the poor become poorer...Boy China is really going to start producing... Hence... I am back at school trying to engineer for the healthcare industry... that and the service industry ( and lawyers)... will be all that is left for work in america. small niches will always exist... Hope to create one or work in one.

Sounds like what I want to do! I understand the need for a nurse... I wonder how cheap you could get one and then call it 'Double' occupancy... I would imagine that there is a lot of eager nursing students that would work for cheap to get the travel time in. Hmmmm...

Check out MarineDepot.com They have (I think) better equipment, prices... check your LFS for deals on equipment and you will need to stock the tank right? Much better to see the fish and ensure that they are eating. If you are only doing FOWLR then a good protien skimmer would be first. I do not use a canister filter... but some do. Good luck with all and keep us posted.
