  1. Yeah, who does stickies now? Is it still Chief or is it RBAllen?
  2. Got the frog prince and cb's. Where is "The Aquarium" in OC?
  3. Shawn, Let me know when you move. I'll be glad to help out.
  4. Do you mean the street view picture? I can't change that. I thought if anyone else wanted to add stuff they could. Any other errors? Let me know especially sponsors.
  5. Hey, I created this map this morning of all the store I could think of that people might want to visit. This includes Vancouver, Portland, Salem, Eugene, Albany, and last but not least Medford. Hopefully this helps new and old folks to the hobby to find shops. http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&msid=102367453637283001201.00046e84db58e31ef3de1&ll=45.383773,-122.762818&spn=0.007535,0.017745&z=16
  6. A day in the life of Curtis. "OK Cora, while you are at school I'll try to stay be busy. First off, quilt a blanket. Second, reorganize my barbies. Third, dose my reek tank and do a water change. Fourth, target practice at the cliffs with my glock. See you at 5. Man, when does police academy start? I'm bored."
  7. That is awesome Curtis. Glad to hear you are going that route. I always wondered what you would end up doing. Seems like a good fit to me.
  8. Red legged hermits are different than scarlet hermits. Scarlet Hermit -Paguristes cadenanti Red Legged Hermit Clibanarius digueti Bumblebee snails are known to eat bristle worms. Some people like bristle worms and do not want them in their aquarium. Still, the small red bristle worms they eat are considered very beneficial to the sandbed. That is a good reason to not get bumblebees.
  9. Thanks for getting me the light. U rock Frank!
  10. I have an rbta in my tank and it stings whatever is close. This can be a good thing if you are trying to keep some zoas or green star polyp in check. Bubble tips can sting the heck out of stony corals even galaxea, the meanest coral in by tank.
  11. It is hard to tell, but yes they could be hydroids or another small organism. The best way to tell is patience. Look to see if they grow a bit. That is how I can tell if something is an aiptaisa or majano anemone. It would not hurt to add one more shrimp or two. The p shrimps will congregate and eat aiptasia in groups. I have seen it before. Unfortunately, the gha or bryopsis will not be an easy road. Clean up crew will help as will the mag spike. I like ceriths and nerite snails. In fact, I am snailcentric. Hermits are fun to watch, but they can be jerks. My favorite hermit is the scarlet hermit. They are good eaters and are just gorgeous. Not too aggressive either. Your aquascape is fantastic. I really like having the rock come up to the foreground. It is dramatic.
  12. Hey, nice job on getting feedback. This was a civil and good thread that could have gotten kinda nasty. I see some good sportsmanship shining through here.
  13. I'd save up or sell frags instead of swapping the koralias with the rio/seio 2600. I bet they are providing good flow for now. Consider moving your acjr control module away from the tank. One splash could screw up your electronics Curtis.
  14. I am gonna take a wild guess here. Welcome Ken to PNWMAS. I can vouch for Ken if this is he. I am sure this chiller works well. Ken sold me his livestock two weeks ago and all are healthy.
  15. Yes, there is a rule about collecting no more than 10 specimens that do not fall in the regulated species listed above. Animals like the aggregating anemones could be collected without a shellfish permit on non reserve areas according to the above. Bob Creek Wayside is part of the Neptune State Park and is considered a reserve. Also, the guy who gave me some of the other species is Kenneth Wingertner. He runs a small company called foreshores.net out of Eugene. He decided to fold his business and gave me much of his livestock.
  16. Thanks Shawn for posting pics. They look awesome! We went to Bob Creek Wayside near Cape Perpetua. It was June 22. Low tide was a minus 2.7 ft at 6:45AM. Very beautiful stuff. I collected using my educator Science collector permit.
  17. Thank you Kris. Your work has done a lot of good for this club. We have grown a lot and much of that I think is thanks to your support.
  18. I will be glad to help with ideas. Please feel free to pm me. I can speak with you by phone if you like or send you a bit of written info. Sorry I cannot be there with you.
  19. Are the acros still in Eugene or have you brought EVERYTHING up to Salem?
  20. Just finished translating a letter for my work. It is the only time of day I can concentrate. I go to PNWMAS for breaks. lol
  21. I think the koralia pump has changed the reefing hobby dramatically. Seems like it is the bread and butter of powerheads these days. It is a good thing when a company makes a good affordable product that they will stand behind.
  22. Thanks! That is very helpful. I will have to give this a try soon.
  23. I think I was going with 3/4 inch. I do not know the weight of the light but it measures 24 inches long and about 14 wide. I was thinking two pipes would come at both edges of the stand. So, I need to bend two pipes once at the same spot.
  24. I saw that tat. Amazing!! Did you finish coloring it in Clay? Miles, very nice coral.
