For sale is an almost brand new (used for 1 month) Aquamaxx brand, hang-on protein skimmer. This is by far and away the most efficient, best looking, quietest, hang-on skimmer I have ever owned. It produces nog like CRAZY! I really wish I could have used it on my new tank but....no dice. So, it is for sale. I paid $199 plus shipping for this skimmer from Marine Depot. Im selling it for $150. Some Features; First and foremost, this skimmer uses an extremely efficient, Italian made, Sicce brand, needle wheel pump. We all know, a protein skimmer is only as good as it's pump right? Anyways, this pump pulls a ton of air and creates extremely fine micro bubbles. There is a bubble plate so, turbulence is low producing great skimmate.

Second, the skimmer comes COMPLETELY apart for EASY cleaning. I included a pic which shows how the whole pump assembly easily pulls out for cleaning. This is very important in a hang on skimmer since you can basically leave the whole skimmer hanging on the tank, unplug the pump and pull it all out for easy cleaning without having to remove the whole skimmer.

And lastly, it is quiet. Barely a hum from the Sicce Syncra pump. All this skimming power and it only pulls 11W! I hope that the new owner likes this skimmer as much as I have.

I have a free pistol shrimp! It is one that usually pairs with a goby. Im doing the tank transfer and found him. He digs too much for me. He's in a tupperware container. Call me at 503-758-1705 if you wanna come out to fairview and pick him up. The sooner the better!!!!!

That's a REALLY good buy for a really nice piece of equipment. Run the output tube to the air intake on your skimmer, have the output of the skimmer run over a little carbon and you are on your way to CRYSTAL clear water and lots less algae. If I didnt run a bacterial driven system, I would buy it myself.

No, no canopy. There will be a 4 bulb t-5 fixture suspended over the tank. Kinda like it is on my current 40gallon tank.
