It's normal for that skimmer. Go over to RC and look up aquac mod. There is a way to cut a small piece of plastic (butter dish container) and set it over the intake area of the skimmer and it quiets the skimmer a lot without affecting performance. Dennis

I tried it and got a nice thick coat of brown algae/diatoms/bacteria all over everything. Was going slow to. It had happend to other's as well so, I discontinued it. Brown slime went away. I would just start very slowly with it see what happens. Hopefully you won't get any brown slime problems. Dennis

No doubt, the wavebox tank is cool. There have been lots of changes at FantaSeas as of recent. Lots and lots of corals and fish. I also saw an SWC skimmer in there and lots of new , currently popular dry goods. Definitely check this place out if you haven't been in recently. Dennis

I had a cadlights, 39gal tank that had a broken bottom, to somebody about a year and a half ago. If it was you, could you email me? I would keep the worms in the tank. They are great scavengers and they take care of the carcasses of things that die (as evidenced by it eating on you're dead clam). Dennis
