Good for you, never learn till you try.

Seriously here guys... I have had this same issue when I try and dose. The BEST remedy is to simply so a few water changes on a tank that size (I ASSUMED IT WAS 30 GALLONS?), your levels should come back and I would take it easy on dosing. On a tank that size if your doing your regular weekly water changes all you should need to do is top off with some Kalk, I have tried topping mag and cal but with regular water changes and kalk a tank FULL of SPS should do fine. I think the dosing your doing is causing your alk and cal to fight each other by doing the water change (With a quality "reef" salt) should fix it very easily.

See then they can put that same silicon into a tube half the size and mark it up 300-500% and call it aquarium safe.

I have a cal reactor setup for sale in the classifieds, its $200 and in Salem. As its a 65 gallon you could probably get away without a cal reactor for sometime and just dose Kalk, your choice.

(wasnt me)I can't believe people voted noI agree, this is a family community, we should be supporting each other. (daz)
Unfortunately I think the forums as of late have kind of changed gears with more people joining, we need more social gatherings, to bad none are anywhere near you or me.

Sure think the plasma is a neat tech, can't wait till it spreads its wings to our hobby.

HA HA, there is some competitive peeps on here. I think if there is extra, why not. No reason for them to go to waste.
-
As stated before, your pump is water cooled, so I see no reason to go higher volts unless it was over a 15 amp draw.
-
Are the acros still in Eugene or have you brought EVERYTHING up to Salem?
Acros are at my place in CG, I have been fragging things, all pest free. Im kinda getting my second wind and thinking I may stay in the SPS hobby, but I am still happy to frag stuff at the moment. Ultimatly I want to get some pedatary fish, so who knows. (nutty)

Ya, I'm just charging for the Sulfur, the rest of the thing is free. When I used it it worked exceptionally, I did a big thread here about it, Ultimately I found my issue and was able to take the no3 reactor offline. there is a video on that thread of it running as well.
As for the rock I still have it.

Correct on amp loads.... You don't save by going bigger voltage, but you do reduce the breaker size and typically (I say this loosely) you reduce the heat. I deal with some motors that if I purchased in 120v they would be around 100 amp, but by simply going up to 460-480 volt or other I can drastically reduce that amp load in the panel.
