  10. I agree about RC...big pain. CL has been pretty good to me, I just don't hold things for people unless I get a good vibe from them. I think part of the problem with any online buying forum is that you don't have a name to a face. So someone may agree to buy something on impulse and then re-think it, they have to vested interest in keeping their word. On another note what does everyone think of having a bi-annual reef garage sale, bring your cash and extra equipment and make some deals face to face.
  11. Bump added photos, updated prices, and added a few items. Make me some offers!
  12. Well getting close to setting the tank up so thought I would start a proper build thread. I have always wanted a 120g, love the dimensions, and now that I have a house figured it was time to get back into it. Here are the specs so far.... Setup Tank - Tenecor 120 acrylic tank (4'x2'x2') Stand - 30" high 2 door solid wood. Need to add a side door for access, possibly divide a section for all ballists, electrics, etc. Sump - TruVu Platinum Series Refugium 180. Need to add probe holders and get refugium lighting Return Pump - Iwaki MD 40. Might switch out, not sure yet. Skimmer - H&S Skimmer A150-f2001 aquabee pump.... cannot wait to see it in action. Calcium Reactor - Geo CR618 Calcium Reactor. VHO Lights - 2 x 110w VHO Actinic. VHO Ballast - Ice Cap. MH Lights - 2 x LUMEN MAX 3 MH Ballast - 2 x 250w HQI BLUE WAVE 7 Still need to get Canopy - DIY hanging canopy with everything mounted in it. Controller - Aquacontroller Jr. w/ DC8 PH/Temp Probes Skimmer Feeder - Maxi-jet 1200 Reactor Feeder - Maxi-jet 1200 Reactor Regulator - any recommendations Reactor CO2 Tank Heater - 2x250w visi-therm stealth Sump Returns - 2 x 1/2" Seaswirls Powerhead/Flow - 2 x Hydor Koralia 4 Tank is going to be a mixed reef of corals and fish. Only thing I am really struggling with is flow, the tank has a dry well and internal overlflow/return so that the tank can sit flush against the wall. For that reason I have ruled out a closed loop system and would like to go with powerheads of some sort. Koralias seem to be getting decent reviews, any other suggestions. Hoping to get water in this bad boy around Thanksgiving...if the wife allows (laugh)

  14. So after looking at setting up the 55g I have decided that it will just be a distraction from my 120g. So here it is... 55g Truvu Tank - $79 Has blue back and back drilled (1/2" and 1") Oak Stand - $39 Made by natural wood crafters, bottom plate has been removed and needs to be relaced. Has 2 large doors for easy access. Oak Canopy - $69 In perfect shape, its a MH canopy with 2 doors and the top is hinged. If this baby was wide enough for my 120g I would be keeping it! (2) x 175 MH setup - $149 nice setup by PFO includes dual magnetic ballast, (2) sets of Ushio bulbs that are used, sockets. Currently wired into canopy. Sump - $29 Very nice custom build sump for 55g tank, has 10.5x14 chamber for skimmer, etc. Blueline 30 pump - $69 looks brand new, good pump. Amiracle Skimmer - $19 Feed off return pump, works good. Wavemaker powerstrip - $19 Top off tank with float switch (no wiring) and bulkhead - $25 (26Long x 20Wide x 11Tall) Acrylic sump - $35 (24Long x 11.5Wide x 16Tall) Rio Powerheads - $5 takes both Aqua C Remora Pro Skimmer w/o Pump - $35 Needs acrylic pieces glued together, all pieces are there and taped together. Filter Sock Holder - $9 Tray slides in and out. Has holes for various bulkhead sizes. Ok wife says I cannot buy anymore stuff until I clean out the garage of this stuff. Make me an offer and lets find it a good home! Located off Hwy 217 and Denney Rd.
  15. So here is the deal... I have never been a huge fan of 55g (48x13x20) due to the dimensions. However my brother in law had to clean out his garage and gave one to me. Here are the system specs: TruVu acrylic tank with blue back: Drilled in the back for overflow but no overflow just pipe drawing water out, need to fix this with actual overflow. Oak Stand/Canopy: From Seahorse, needs a little fixing Sump: Needs cover for inlet area, saltwater creep has affected inside of stand and hinges on one side. Lighting: (2) x 175w MH (2) x 110 VHO Return Pump: Blueline 30 External Misc: about 70lbs of large dry formerly live rock Skimmer: Amircle old school needs to be replaced. So besides the Skimmer I also need to add some Korallias for flow and should be set. My perdictment is I am not sure what to set the tank up as. I will be eventually setting up my 120g in another room so I will have 2 tanks going. I am opening it up to any suggestions on what to set this tank up as.
  16. Prices dropped and sold items notated, get this stuff out of my garage!
