  1. LOL......Thanks guys. You know for what I paid for my clowns it probably works out to be around 300 bucks a pound. Nice dinner for ChowMein(my cat). I named her that because it drives my kids nuts when I say we're having chowmein for dinner tonight.

That is SH!T is funny, I am laughing out loud at work and people are looking at me, like I am crazy. rofl

  2. Man! I would be out of my mind with worry if one of the babies were like that! Luckily they both seem to be doing really well today. And the sutures are still intact! And that's not from a lack of licking.

    Stacy

Thats good to hear!!!! yay for the kitties.

  3. I had to take our two kittens in to the vet today to get spayed. sad

Poor little guys, all walking funny and WHACKED OUT on drugs! One of them is acting as though she was smoking some crack out behind the vet. Won't sit still, just on the go. I imagine she's a bit on edge from being cooped up in a kennel all day though. The other one is acting like she's been taking too many bong hits. Eyes all glassy and staring a lot.

I hated doing it to them, but having the cats spayed or neutered is a necessary evil. Especially when both of them went into heat once. Touch my butt, love my butt, smell my butt! DOH!

Thank goodness humans aren't like cats! Imagine that, if you will. You're waiting in line at the grocery store and... okay, I guess I should just stop right there before a mod smacks me! whistle

It is kind of scary when they are like this...But it gets better. One of my kitties was so bad that she could not even stand, she would just fall over.

  4. I have always liked damsels. Amazing colors but goodness they are mean' date=' not to mention impossible to catch. Ive never heard of anyone else having a damsel tank, you could be the first. It would be cool to have a bunch in a reef tank.[/quote']

If you had them in a reef tank, I take back my statement about not needing test kits..:)

  5. You are going to have to get the other tank up real soon as it looks like the real estate is becoming limited.

    LOOKS REAL GOOD!!!!

Thanks! yeah...wish someone else was paying me for the real estate... I think I posted this on the wrong place...I think this belongs on the show thread...If a mod wants to move they can.

I wish I could have some more snails, but since it is so small they knock everything on top of each other and climb all over the corals...The tank should be set up next month and then hopefully 8 weeks after that it will be good to go. I am dying to order some frags from reefermadness and ultimatefrag and pick up some local stuff.

  6. Jeez, $20! I can't blame you.

I've had to limit my trips to the LFS too, i've got no more room!!!!

At least I am not the only one... yeah the 12 is pretty much cramped. I really need to get my bigger tank up. Then it will be an even more empty bank account and me starting the next RA (reefers anonymous).

  7. Nice. Love that green/blue brain.

thanks it is fairly new...I got for 20 bucks... I could not pass it up... i need to stop going into fish stores cause that happens, I see something i have to have and then when it is a fair price...I buy it.

I replaced about a third of my sandbed last night with my bi weekly 25% water change. I am now considering this a part of my maintenance regimen. I would advise others running a ssb to do the same in an effort to reduce dissolved organics. I think this will contribute to the lightening of my corals and still give them the polyp extension that they should have. IMO, this may be the best way.

I agree, this is what I think would help...and it has worked for alot of people.

  9. the rest...

Tank is a 12gal eclipse, with a DIY Jimmy Rig install of a dual light strip 30watts-50/50 and 18,000k bulbs. Its been up for about 2 years.

  10. This is my nano, my 45 gal corner pentagon will be going up very soon. So this is a more of a holding tank until that is up and cycled. Sorry, I need a tri-pod and my camera is new, so please bear with me.
