  1. Coconut rum and coke. It's my own private trip to the islands! Or a GOOD mudslide made with ice cream....
  2. I'm not sure about Jay, but I know what my hubby would do...watch out for men in white coats that seem to want to be your friend!:p
  3. Hmmmm....good plan. Let's see what else we can come up with for you!laugh
  4. It's that time of year again! Being prone to sunburns, I was a good girl yesterday and smeared on my SPF 45 before heading out to paint. I was feeling a little warm, but thought nothing of it. Turns out my sunscreen had expired last month, and when they say it's expired, they mean it!!! I have a nice lobster back, and a brand new bottle of sunscreen.DOH! Enjoy the sun!
  5. Nothing a 2x4 won't fix. I'm kidding!!!!(hitme)
  6. I don't mind walking at all...it's just to the feed store which is only 5 or 6 blocks away. Mike walks to work every day, because we are so close to the station. We currently have one car that can be driven, and his mustang is in the garage covered in primer, until he decides on a color. It may be a while.DOH! As for the exercise, I am in the process of painting the outside of this house. If I ever see paint or a ladder again, it will be too soon.:p
  7. Well, I know it's affecting how I show people houses.:( And, I will be walking this afternoon to my part-time job.
  8. So, does that mean you don't want to live in my neighborhood?:p
  9. Funny, I found great relief with coconut rum. however, today is my "floor" day at the office, and for some darn reason they want me sober to answer the phones.:p I still have a spot on my finger that is all red and angry, but I'm not sure if it's because there is still something in there, or just because there was... Mike is watching it pretty close. Nothing like having your very own paramedic.whistle
  10. I think I still have one in there.:( I've now tried everything. I think I'm just going to have to wait for my body to react to it, so it will help push it out. It's been glued, taped, soaked, swabbed, cleaned, and even picked at... How's it feel? OUCH! I'd rather be stepped on my my horse. Seriously! I didn't even see it until it was too late.
  11. A bristleworm got me.DOH! I can't seem to get the last "bristle" out...anyone have any tips?
  12. Who/what do you share your life and home with? I will confess, I have somewhat of a zoo.:p Besides the 120 and 8 gallon saltwater tanks, I have a 29 gallon freshwater. I have a great dane named Abigail, and he/we have a shih tzu cross named Kricket. There are three cats who redise in this house, but are rarely seen...Meow-meow (named by the firemen) came from the fire station. Odelle came from an aunt when she passed on. Sully lives here, but doesn't want to be seen. He is also a stray from the station. We also have a lutino ringneck named Duke, who is way too good at learning words we don't want him to. Then there is Sprite, a "pocket parrot" that has been with me for years. Of course, there is Mr.bunny who lives in the back yard/jungle. And last but not least, I have a horse I retired from showing after I graduated 8 years ago. She lives on a farm with other older horses, in a pasture that I'm sure is the stuff of every horse's dreams...creeks, ponds, shade and good buddies to scratch the places you can't reach.:p So, tell me a little about your pets!(drinking)
  13. I have a pond in the back yard, and last summer I took in a bunny that needed a home. I guess the green plants were thick enough that Mr.bunny thought it was solid ground, because before I could stop him the hopped right up to, and into the pond. Never have I seen a more surprised bunny.whistle He's rather cautious where he jumps now.rofl
  14. His royal highness has decided "we" need a tank in the master bedroom now, too...huh Wonder who will do the work on that one... By the way, Flick (name stuck) is doing great!(clap) Oragami my foot.... I'm afraid the hijack is coming...he just found out there is a cop here in town that has a tank.
  15. The damsels have been banished to the fuge.:( They sure are smart little snots. We may have a big problem if the ever figure out how to rule the world.:p I still intend to keep the striped pair, but I'm not sure about the yellow-tails. I guess I could always just set up another tank.whistle Thanks to everyone for your advice.
  16. Okay, after much thought, I've decided I can get down to just the pair of damsels that are so much fun to watch. The other four can go.:( My question is, do you think if I transfered the damsel pair and a false perc pair into a 210 gallon at the same time, on opposite ends, do you think they will let each other live?(hitme)
  17. What color(s) do you lean towards when choosing pieces for your tank? I seem to lean towards blues and purples.(drinking)
  18. I have been culturing both on the same counter for the last two weeks or so, and I noticed tonight that there are a few brine shrimp IN my phytoplankton jars.scary I have ask a few people for their opinions, and no one really knows what will happen. What would you do? Would you leave it alone? Some seem to think they will not lay eggs and reproduce...if this is true, that would be good. Would you try to strain them out with a brine shrimp net? It's always something, isn't it?:p
  19. No scars. I have only been "bitten" by one while it was guarding eggs, and I didn't realize they were there. The bite was more like a hit, no mark was left.
  20. I can always count on people being able to watch the fish!:p They allow the scooter and mandarin to live in peace, and are even being sort of kind to the puffer that was dumped on my doorstep. The damsels and puffer are the same size, for now, and in two months he gets his own tank, because he is a mean, messy pig. The damsels have been together in this same tank for 8 months...my thought is to have this 120 and a 2' by 2' cube (to be puffer tank) on the back side of a 180 or 210, and then plumb them all together. I was hoping someone else had a damsel tank, so I could see what they have in the tank with them, to help me decide if I want the brats in the big tank, or in the 120...
  21. I have two of the four-stripe, and they are now a pair. Over the weekend they had a whole bunch of eggs. That was fun to watch.(drinking) I also have 4 of the yellow tail, two of which are a pair with eggs in a huge shell. I must say , they do get rather mean when they are guarding their eggs. It wasn't my intent to have a damsel tank when I started out, but then I got attached.whistle I'm trying to convince my husband that the new house needs a "room divider" tank, so I can keep these guys in this tank, and have another with other fish.:p
  22. Does anyone here (besides me) have a damsel tank? I realize it limits fish selection, but I really do enjoy the little brats.:p
