  1. Wow. Congrats everybody. This is exactly the kind of goals that Alice and I had in mind when we originally proposed the formation of this club so many years ago. Very proud.

    Next stop, hosting MACNA.

    Dennis

Have you ever read what holding MACNA entales? I got an email from one of the past hosts and there is ALOT and I mean ALOT of work to do. Like 3 years of work before the doors even open to the event.

Don't get me wrong I agree with you, hosting MACNA would be the ultimate!!! But there are steps that still need to be done before that hurdle can be jumped!

  2. On mine the rock just sits on the "stands" and then the rock sits on each other without glues, epoxy, or ties.

But all my rocks are large in size. If I had smaller pieces I would look into it more and use whatever I felt was needed. HTH

  3. Not something I would enjoy...1) Gotta go outside to enjoy it 2) only get to see it from top down 3) trash, leaves (etc) always ready to contaminate it 4) would actually need to get in it alot (I would think) to clean or work on things...if it had a basement "window" that looked in on it that might make it more appealing....

It is amazing but for me, not in a good way....

Don't mean to be so negative but alot of what I enjoy about this hobby is lost in that...

I share alot of those same thoughts.

  4.

Michael, He told me that he wants to become a sponsor and is waiting for you to follow up with him. It sounds like some mis-communication happened. You need to give him a call and get him hooked up.

Will do!! I'll email him again and try to reach him on the phone too.

    PS- email sent!

  5. Or you could do something like I did to keep the rocks from falling. I used scrap acrylic pieces and some acrylic rod to make "rock stands" for the rocks to sit on before I put in the sand.

Hopefully you can see it in this picture and understand what I did.

  6. WOW! I just got off the phone with Comcast and Directv. Crazy! Directv gave me an extra $20 off my bill just because. I didn't ask for it she just gave it to me for the next six months. Comcast on the other hand is charging me $80 for just internet and won't set me up with a discount. He suggested I call back and talk to the cancelation department. Just seems silly to have to play games with them. I was considering switching to DSL but found out that 1.5mbs is all that is avaliable at my house. That's just not going to cut it when your on a 20 mbs plan at the moment.

Have you looked into Clear for your internet?

  7. Ok fine' date=' I wasnt planning on going because of some vehicular troubles. But is there someone from the salem area that has room for one more?[/quote']

You are welcome to ride with me but you can not be a backseat or sideseat driver! :) And don't plan on doing anything else as I see an allday adventure!

  8. Nobody can get CSNNW without having Comcast.

They are asking an exsorbented (sp.) amount to let other services broadcast that channel. I have read/heard that it would add up to $6.00 a month to your bill for that ONE channel!! [language filter]!!! You can add another 50 channels on DISH for $10.00 a month or something like that! They are just holding everyone hostage hoping that the other companies will finally give in and pay up!
