Both beautiful fish!
I do not know where it came from but I had a cherub that was a picker. So keep an eye on him, just to be safe.
-
Franklin- the more you share the more I worry!
-
Both ideas above are usable.
If you can't help out TFT with buying from Roger, look into the tiles.
Should be able to buy several busted tiles for a 'discounted' rate.
-
First off- Welcome!
Secondly- Watch your water parameters you are pushing the bioload of a 35g tank w/ that many fish. Start looking thru the classified section for tank/equip. for your upgrade.

All 7 to one person!?
WOW must be one big tank they got!
-
I change 25-30g every 2-3 weeks on my system which is about 275-300g total.
-
Must be getting tired? Somehow I expected to see dogs on surfboards. Love that stuff!
Only you Franklin!
-
Do something similar to what Kim and Beth did with their latest, it's metal w/ removable panels.
-
How many watts are in the fixture?
-
I'm not the greatest guy to be answering this question but I would think 500gph is good, but you will really need to get some additional flow in the tank.
So start to look for some powerheads.
What do you wanna keep? SPS? LPS? Mixed?
That will help us answer the question of additional flow better
-
Well I dont have shrimp' date=' would I need to worry about my baby clowns? And what I read on the compatibility chart suggested the coral beauty might not get along w/ the flame hawk fish.[/quote']
From what I have seen/heard they will take a shot at anything they think they can get into their mouths.
-
Yep for some reason babies love fishtanks....... must be the movement that attracts them. Very cool!
-
How big is your sump?
Do you have an additional powerheads in the display?
BTW- Welcome!
-
id like to setup a hospital tank' date=' can this be done easily or is it basically the same as setting up a whole new system[/quote']
Easiest hospital tank is a 20g with and over the back filter, a basic light, a heater with some pieces of PVC pipe for the fish to take shelter in.
Take the filter media and leave it in your DT sump to grow you good bacteria on it, (week or 2) and when the QT is needed take it from the sump and put it in the HOB filter.
After qt is done clean and dry HOB filter media very well and when dry put it back in the DT sump and let the bacteria start to grow again for the next time you need it.

I do not think I would try a flame hawk and shrimp in the same tank together.
-
Homemade awesome! But $15 for a filter sock NOOO Way! BRS $5
Someone else said they paid $15.00 for a sock.
Miles sais he bought all that fabric for $6.00, made 8-10 of them and that was what was left.
So he should be under a dollar per sock by my math when done.

I would try and get your other two fish out and into q tank. Then leave tank with no fish for a couple months.Good luck and sorry for your trouble.Ich sucks.
This is an option- but remember that will stress the fish and can make it worse.
BUT it is an option to look into.
-
Ich comes from stress. Think of it like a cold. We all have it but our bodies can keep it under control until we become stressed and weakened.
So now that it is in your system it is hard to remove. The best way is to no add anything for atleast a month.
Ich has a life cycle thatis a hard one to nail down. But I would do a WC in 2 weeks and make sure you lighty syphon off the bottom of the tank.
(the cysts will pop and the 'ich' will fall to the bottom to continue the lifecycle, this is about your only chance to remove some of it)
Good Luck!!

I liked your old pictures better, they were very clear and true, these seem to off in color or it may be my computer
the second set looks good
The first couple come across with a yellow'ish tint to me. Maybe this is what Steve is seeing too.
But they are good pictures!!
Keep taking Rick because you always have great pictures!!
