racefan
Can anyone tell me what this is? It's white, about 1/8" tall & it sends out this silk like tentacle that goes out about 2 inches kind of feels around & will then retract back into it.I have several of these, this one being the biggest. Is this good or bad? If needed I can try to bring the rock closer to the surface to get a better pic. Mike
andy
Vermetid worm perhaps? They aren't exactly badguys, but the can overpopulate and their mucous 'nets' can irritate corals.
dsoz
actually, vermitids are snails, not worms. The red blotches just down and to the right of the picture look like vermitids. The white tubes are a type of worm, I can't remember which one... Let me look for a bit. edit- try here. I think it is a "hair worm" http://reefkeeping.com/issues/2002-06/rs/index.php dsoz
