markdadof2
I purchased a small Crocea and was wondering how often you guys would reccomend feeding him (I feed Kent Phyto Plex). The LFS that sold it to me said everyday...you agree with that? Thanks Mark
180Bob
How big is your new clam?
CCR
I would need a lot more info. Pictures would really help. Tank size? Age of tank?
stylaster
Since clams are continuous filter feeders, I would setup a slow drip ie 1 drip about every 2-3 secs. I have in the past raised baby maxima clams (had 150 in a tank) They where all about 1" in size. Did a phyto drip every second. Ended up raising 90 or so up to 3-4" in size. Still not the best odds, but baby clams are very sensative. I had a lot of help back in the day from Harbor Aquatics and a gentleman in tacoma to get my first clam farm running. markdadof2
The clam is between 1.75 and 2 inches at thsi point. He is open and doing great thus far. The tank has been set up for about 5 months. 14 gallon Nano for now (will be expanding eventually). I will post pictures a little later today when I am home. Thanks everyone! markdadof2
Here is the young clam. The angle of this makes it look like the zoanthids are too close, but they are a few inches.
