tidalsculpin
So some of you may know that I was in the running for an assistant principal job. It was at Churchill high here in Eugene. I got an interview and was one of 30 applicants. Still, it "was not the right fit." I am a middle school kind of guy I guess. Overall interviewing for a principal position is intense but positive. It keeps me on my toes. Hopefully next school year I will land a principalship. It is more stressful than teaching but just as rewarding. Back to the fish lair! dsoz
My condolences. I know what it is like to be hopeful for a job, and not be the right one. Try again next year if the right one comes open. dsoz
tidalsculpin
Well ya still have work. A lot more than so many others. Make a difference I know. I love teaching. I am VERY happy to start the school year tomorrow. We are going to have a great year. Teaching is the most noble profession no matter what my administrator mentors said! Algae
It will happen. I have a friend that is a principal in Cal. She just kept plugging away.teacher, counselor, Asst. Principal, Temp Principal, and finally Principal. I have always voted for school taxes, even when I didn't have a child. It is truly a worthwhile investment for the whole community. downhill_biker
well...too bad that didnt fit, but i am fatalistic about things like this, and feel everything happens for a reason. you should be happy you have a job. i have been without a job for quite some time now, and i still try to stay positive and say that there is a bigger reason and purpose for my unemployment.
