POP went the light.

Well, the 64w PC LOA security light I was using on my refugium/sump kicked. I heard a loud *POP* Sunday night, I thought it was my cat Kachiko letting the feline visitor to our front door know that she'd cut him a new one if he got any closer. It was about the same as the noise she makes smacking the screen door.

 

I've been using a 13w PC, the "standard" one that you often seen on HOB refugiums.

a 225 bulbs LED unit.

I'll get one next week ( when my self imposed fish fund allowance refreshes ), and let you all know how it turns out.

 

If it doesn't work, I'm sure I can turn around and sell it here in Eugene to an "indoor tomatoe grower" PDQ, especially if I add that it won't show up on IR scanning.

Let us know how it works. For $40, it should be a good refugium light. I don't think I would want one over my display with all that red in it.
